  • Publication number: 20100016944
Abstract: A device comprises an expandable implant (11) and a hollow stent (13) internally defining a central passage (14). Said hollow stent (13) defines a retention opening (23A) of the implant (11) near the distal end thereof (19). The inventive device also comprises a wire-type link (53A) for releasably fixing the implant (11) to the stent (13), which comprises a traction section (75A) introduced into the opening (23A), and extending inside the central passage (14). For the wire-type link (53A), the device comprises an internal insulation channel (29A) arranged in the central passage (14) and axially fixed with respect to the stent (13). The insolation channel (29A) receives only one wire-type link (53A) and define's a channel (41) which is devoid of a link at least between the proximal end (21) of the stent (13) and the retention opening (23A) and is placed in the central channel (14).

  • Patent number: 7648528
Abstract: A valve prosthesis includes a flexible plug and an annular bearing reinforcement which is embodied such that it is radially rigid and surgically implantable in the area of a heart valve. The valve prosthesis is provided with an interchangeable prosthetic valve, is independent of the bearing reinforcement, endoluminally placeable and includes a tubular support which is radially deformable between a folded setting position and an unfolded position for implanting into a bearing structure and the flexible plug connected to a tubular support. The bearing reinforcement forms an annular support devoid of any plug capable of univocally limiting a blood flow circulation.

  • Publication number: 20090299449
Abstract: The kit comprises an implantable treatment element (13) which can be radially deformed between a retracted state and a deployed state, and a sheath (15) for maintaining the treatment element (13) in its retracted state. The kit also comprises means (19) for pulling the treatment element (13) into the sheath (15), comprising a sleeve (17) for receiving the treatment element (13) which can slide in relation to the sheath (15) between an expanded position for receiving the treatment element (13) and a compressed interposed position between the treatment element (13) and the sheath (15). The treatment element (13) is substantially axially fixed in relation to the receiving sleeve (17) when said sleeve (17) moves between its receiving and interposed positions. The invention can be used to insert endoprostheses into a blood vessel.

  • Publication number: 20090012600
Abstract: The invention concerns a kit (11) comprising a tubular endoprosthesis (19) having an inner surface (57) delimiting a channel (58) with longitudinal axis (X-X?). It comprises a prosthetic valve (17) designed to be implanted in the channel (58). The valve (17) comprises a supporting frame (25) having an outer surface (35A, 35B) designed to be pressed against the inner surface (57), and a flexible cover (39) connected to the frame (25). The inner surface (57) has at least two segments (65, 67) with variable cross-section along the longitudinal axis (X-X?). The segments (65, 67) form respectively a proximal stop (71) and a distal stop (73) to lock the axial displacement of the outer surface (35A, 35B) along the inner surface (57) along two opposite directions.

  • Publication number: 20080319552
Abstract: The tubular prosthesis (100) is radially deformable and comprises a lattice (112) that is deformable between a retracted state of small diameter and an expanded state of larger diameter. The prosthesis (100) comprises at least two outer hooks (118, 119) delimiting between them a clamp (116) for engaging in an outer tissue. The two hooks (118, 119) are carried by the lattice (112) and can be moved between a spaced-apart position in which the clamp (116) is open and a closer-together position in which the clamp (116) is closed. The prosthesis (100) comprises a guiding member (120) for moving at least one of the hooks (118, 119) during deformation of the prosthesis (100). The guiding member (120) delimits a guide passage in which at least one of the hooks (118, 119) is engaged.

  • Publication number: 20080234797
Abstract: The device (14) comprises a support (32) defining at least one opening (56A, 56B) for retaining the implant (12) situated in the vicinity of the distal end (46) thereof, and at least one threadlike link (36A, 36B) for retaining the implant (12). The link (36A, 36B) comprises a control portion (70) engaged in the support (32) and a tightening loop (72) of the implant (12) which projects outside the support (32) through the retention opening (56A, 56B). The device (14) comprises a component (42A, 42B) for placing each tightening loop (72) around the implant (12). The placement component (42A, 42B) comprises a rigid member (90) and at least one flexible cord (94A, 94B) integral with the member (90) and engaged releasably around the tightening loop (72).

  • Publication number: 20080109028
Abstract: The invention relates to an introducer for an endoluminal procedure. The inventive introducer comprises: a guide tube which can be inserted into the human body and which defines an internal guide conduit for an element that is to be introduced, and a hemostatic valve which is formed at one end of the guide tube and which, in the open configuration, defines a passage with a large cross-section in the extension of the guide conduit, and, in the closed configuration, defines a passage with a reduced or zero cross-section. The aforementioned hemostatic valve comprises: a rigid annular support which is connected to the guide tube and which extends axially from same; and an inner annular pouch which is formed axially inside the annular support, which is defined, along the surface thereof facing the axis, by an elastically-deformable flexible membrane, and which is filled with a filling liquid.
