  • Patent number: 7913977
Abstract: The present invention is briefly named “The tightener” for fastening a selected securing member around an object and carrying it comprising a set of two independent devices. One of them is an ordinary clamp being in common use everywhere in the world with a strap permanently attached to it and said clamp is modified to enable connecting it with a tightening device and named a jamming clamp to distinguish one clamp from the other. The tightening device comprises a shaft with its ends and with a ratchet mechanism is mounted in a two-arms handle. Said handle operating as a lever of the ratchet mechanism turning said shaft.

  • Publication number: 20070289077
Abstract: A device composed of a long tubular stick with a head connected with a socket by circle swing assembly. The tubular stick head front face is inclined to the tubular stick's axis about 45°. A spring slid over the socket axle's ends press tightly the socket against the tubular stick head's front face. A locking slid over one of the axle spring's end enters into the cut formed on the tool's slider and holds the tool in working position. A movable rod inside the tubular stick provided with pressing and quiding rolls, which is connected with a pilot sleeve with a pin and slid over and moves along the tubular stick together with the movable rod and with the said pin which moves along slideways formed in the wall of the tubular stick. The said rod's rolls press against the surface of the socket causing rotation of the socket with a sponge mop until reaching parallel to the tubular stick's axis position.

  • Publication number: 20070289112
Abstract: The present invention is briefly named “The tightener”. A two-arm handle with a ratchet mechanism for fastening a selected securing member around an object and carrying it. The first end of the securing member is secured to the tightener's U-shaped bed plate edge, and the second end is threaded through a slot made across a shaft. Said ratchet mechanism that is a ratchet wrench built-in the arm of the handle, and is connected with the shaft constituting a tightening device of the tightener. Said shaft is seated in dowel holes made in both sides of the bed plate of the jamming clamp and turned by the ratchet wrench, thereby winding onto the shaft the securing member exiting the jamming clamp. The shaft is turned by putting the handle in the swinging motion until reaching needed tension in the securing member. The jamming clamp jams automatically the securing member in the moment when pulling it is stopped and maintains it in tensioned state.

  • Patent number: 5187840
Abstract: A clasp device for use with a variety of securing members for fastening a selected securing member around an object. A bed plate is mounted on the object around which the securing member is to be fastened. The bed plate includes a first bed plate column and a second bed plate column mounted on opposite ends of the bed plate. A first end of the securing member is secured to the bed plate near the second bed plate column. An arm is pivotally mounted on the first bed plate column and moveable between an open and a closed position, such that in the closed position, the arm overlies the bed plate. The arm includes supporting and guiding structures for adjustably and removably mounting a clamp for the securing member allowing for variable tension on the securing member. A lever pivotally attached to the distal end of the arm moves between the open and closed position. The clasp may be locked in a closed position.
