  • Patent number: 12261347
Abstract: A technique for controlling an airborne antenna system (304) for a radio telecommunications network mounted on an aircraft (300) is described. As to a method aspect performed by the aircraft (300), a physical antenna orientation of the antenna system (304) relative to geographic cardinal directions is determined. The physical antenna orientation is stabilized in a predefined direction relative to the geographic cardinal directions by controlling a rotational actuator (514) of the antenna system (304).

  • Publication number: 20230353221
Abstract: A technique for rotating one or more multi-sector antennas mounted on unmanned aircrafts of a radio access network, RAN, is described. Each of the multi-sector antennas comprises multiple sectors. The multiple sectors of each of the multi-sector antennas are configured to provide radio access to radio devices in different azimuthal directions that are changeable relative to the aircraft and fixed relative to each other when rotating the respective one of the multi-sector antennas. As to a method aspect of the technique, the at least one or each of the aircrafts of the RAN determines signal strengths of radio signals exchanged between a first radio device and at least two of the multiple sectors of the multi-sector antenna mounted on the respective one of the aircrafts Based on the determined signal strengths, a first azimuthal direction is computed for providing radio access to the first radio device.

  • Publication number: 20230039795
Abstract: A method in a network node includes receiving a radio resource control (RRC) connection reestablishment request from a user equipment (UE). The method includes generating a new Long identifier, ID, for the UE. The method includes determining whether a UE Context Fetch is successful. The method includes responsive to determining that the UE Context Fetch is not successful, determining whether a Long ID has been fetched. The method includes responsive to determining that the Long ID has been fetched, placing the Long ID that has been fetched in a UE Context Fetch Failure event.

  • Patent number: 10631175
Abstract: A plurality of mobile robots provide a radio coverage area of a wireless communication network. Each mobile robot comprises a radio base station of the wireless communication network. A mobile robot of the plurality of mobile robots moves to a geographical position to deploy as part of a daisy chain loop of the mobile robots upon receiving instruction from a maintenance base. Upon receiving further instruction from the maintenance base, the mobile robot moves to a further geographical position as part of a circular shift operation performed by the mobile robots deployed to the daisy chain loop to maintain the radio coverage area and send a further mobile robot of the mobile robots deployed to the daisy chain loop to the maintenance base.
