  • Publication number: 20220387143
Abstract: An intraosseous dental implant for the application of biologically active agents directly to the surrounding soft tissues and bone tissue, and their substitutes, is described. The implant enables the measurement of the newly formed or lost bone tissue volume immediately adjacent to the implant. Increasing the dynamics of osseointegration growth directly results in the possibility of reducing the duration of the entire treatment protocol. To increase dynamics of the osseointegration process, the type of material from which the implant is made, its design features, surface topography, as well as the formation of layered structures and coating applications, are described. The implant introduces growth factors and other biologically active factors that affect an increase in the dynamics of osseointegration strength.

  • Publication number: 20190001440
Abstract: A method for additive manufacturing of three-dimensional objects from metallic glasses utilizing a process of melting of successive layers of the starting material by a laser beam or an electron beam. The method includes steps such that every material layer is melted twice, using parameters which yield a crystalline melt trace in the first melting, and the successively melted beam paths contact with one another, while in the second melting, parameters yielding an amorphous melt trace are used, and the successively remelted paths or spots do not come in contact with one another, and/or between the scanning of successive paths or spots, an interval not shorter than 10 ms is maintained, the surface power density in the first remelting being lower than in the second remelting.

  • Publication number: 20180311407
Abstract: The method of making an implant consists on coating of a supporting structure (1) with synthetic hydroxyapatite by immersing the supporting structure (1) in a suspension (3) and triggering of a cavitation in a portion of the suspension (3) being in contact with the supporting structure (1). The suspension (3) is formed by a liquid external phase, advantageously water, and internal phase, i.e. particles of synthetic hydroxyapatite having an average particle size not exceeding 100 nm and containing structural water in an amount from 2 to 6% by weight. The implant is coated with the above described hydroxyapatite subjected to cavitation and a thickness of 50 nm to 1000 nm, advantageously 50 nm to 300 nm.

  • Patent number: 10053791
Abstract: A composite coating and method for preparing the composite coating on titanium implants for tissue culture and tissue engineering is provided. The implants are characterized in that the titanium component to be coated is placed in a aqueous solution containing calcium cations, phosphate anions, and dispersed carbon nanoparticles (such as single layer graphene oxide or graphene oxide) in an amount of about 0.05%-1.50% by weight relative to the total weight of aqueous solution. The dimensions of the dispersed graphene oxide should be around, but not limited to, 300-800 nm (X-Y), while their thickness is about 0.7-1.2 nm. The aqueous solution with carbon nanoparticles is prepared by mixing for at least 72 h in temperature in range 20-35° C. and sonicated before electrodeposition process. In the prepared solution is further placed titanium which acts as cathode element (may be the implant), and anode which can be, for example, a platinum rod. Between the cathode and anode is set a potential from ?1.3V to ?1.

  • Publication number: 20150148911
Abstract: To manufacture the implant a nanopowder of synthetic hydroxyapatite (Hap) is used having a hexagonal structure, average grain size in a range from 3 to 30 nm and the specific surface area greater than 200 m2/g. First the nanopowder is formed to the desired geometric shape, and then the shape is fixed. In the step of shape information the dried nanopowder is pressed in the mold under the pressure ranging from 50 Mpa to 2 GPa. In the step of fixing the pressed nanopowder at room temperature is subjected to the pressure rising from the ambient value to the peak value selected from a range of 1 to 8 GPa and to a temperature selected from a range of 100° C. to 600° C. for a period of time selected from a range from 30 seconds to 5 minutes. The density of thus produced implant, determined by helium method, is not less than 75% of the theoretical density.
