  • Patent number: 7887095
Abstract: A belt tensioner for a safety belt system includes a pinion (16) rotatably mounted in a housing (12), a drive unit (26), and a toothed rack (18) whose toothing (20) is directly engaged or enters into direct engagement with the pinion (16) and which can be driven by means of the drive unit (26). The toothed rack (18) has the shape of a circular arc and moves on a circular path (K) upon activation of the drive unit (26).

  • Patent number: 7080799
Abstract: A linear drive has a cylinder, a piston guided displaceably in said cylinder, and a pinion. The piston is provided with teeth which can engage into the pinion in order to rotate the pinion upon displacement of the piston. The drive further has at least one deformable element which prevents blocking when the teeth enter into engagement with the pinion.

  • Publication number: 20060091252
Abstract: A belt retractor for a vehicle safety belt system has a frame, a belt reel rotatably mounted in the frame, and a brake device. The brake device includes at least one first brake element and a brake disk rotatably disposed relative to the first brake element and has an adjusting disk rotatable with respect to the brake element. The brake device is designed such that a rotation of the adjusting disk causes a displacement of the first brake element, so that the brake element is caused to rest against the brake disk.

  • Publication number: 20050224270
Abstract: A belt buckle presenter is capable of moving a belt buckle (32) by means of a drive between a lower initial position and an upper extension position. The belt buckle presenter comprises a blocking arrangement (22), the activation of the blocking arrangement (22) in a case of restraint preventing the belt buckle (32) from a movement upwards. The blocking arrangement (22) is also able to be activated in an intermediate position between the initial position and the extension position.

  • Patent number: 6840474
Abstract: A belt retractor for a vehicle safety belt comprises a frame, a belt reel rotatably mounted in the frame, a belt reel axle with an external toothing, and a pawl. The belt retractor has a sliding clutch by means of which the pawl can be brought to engage in the external toothing, in order to rotate the belt reel.

  • Patent number: 6712394
Abstract: A tensioner for a safety belt includes a cylinder, a piston which is slidably arranged within the cylinder, and a traction transfer element which is connected with the piston to transfer a movement of the piston to the safety belt. The tensioner further includes a drive which may exert a driving force on the piston to tension the safety belt. The piston is provided with a deformation element which the traction transfer element engages.
