Abstract: The invention relates to an endoscopy system and a corresponding method for examining gas turbines, comprising an endoscope and a data processing unit, wherein the endoscope comprises an image recording unit, wherein the endoscope is configured to transmit recorded images of the image recording unit from the inside of the gas turbine to the data processing unit, wherein the endoscopy system is configured to position and align the endoscope comprising the image recording unit introduced into a gas turbine in the gas turbine in a defined manner.

Abstract: A mechanism that allows sharing of an existing infrastructure for access to public or private IP networks, such as the public Internet or private LANs is provided. Specifically, infrastructure owners lease the infrastructure resources on a short-term basis to different Internet Service Providers (ISPs). An ISP uses these resources to provide Internet services to subscribing customers or users. The ISP controls all aspects of the Internet service provided to the subscriber, including billing, bandwidth management, and e-mail. The ISP also ensures privacy for the subscriber by means of encryption. Leasing network resources from an existing network infrastructure frees the ISP from building an expensive access infrastructure itself while the infrastructure owner is given an opportunity to generate additional revenue from infrastructure. Importantly, neither the user, nor the ISP need to trust the access station (i.e.: the access station is untrusted) through which the access to the IP network is accomplished.

Abstract: Audio devices powered by rechargeable batteries or an external power source including a separate audio device housing and battery charger housing that are engageable with each other. The audio device housing and battery charger housing can share an external power source. Furthermore, when separated, the audio device housing and battery charger housing are usable alone to produce sound and to charge a battery, respectively. In some instances, a battery placed in a first position is charged and, when placed in a second position, provides power to the audio circuit.

Abstract: An adapter for a landscape trimmer that includes a string head and an output shaft. The adapter includes an adapter body that has a first end and a second end, a string head portion, and a trimmer attachment portion. The string head portion is positioned proximate the second end and extends axially toward the first end. The string head portion is adapted to couple the string head to the adapter body. The trimmer attachment portion is positioned proximate the first end, and defines an unthreaded opening that extends axially toward the second end along the adapter body and that is adapted to receive the output shaft therethrough. The trimmer attachment portion further defines a slot that extends at least partially through the adapter body substantially transverse to and in communication with the unthreaded opening.

Abstract: A system and method is disclosed for enabling users to connect to a home network from a remote network using what the inventors refer to as a distributed virtual switch. An access component providing connectivity for user devices is deployed in a remote network and automatically associates packets from a user device with a switch server deployed in the user's home network. The access component dynamically establishes a communication channel with the switch server and forwards packets from the user device to the switch server, which releases the packets in the home network.
