Abstract: A procedure for influencing a traffic management system including providing position data of a destination for at least one emergency vehicle; providing the current position data and the data of the current travel direction vector of at least one emergency vehicle; predicting a route for at least one emergency vehicle from its current position to the position of the destination, taking into account the direction of travel selected by the driver of the emergency vehicle and represented by the direction of travel vector; influencing an autonomous vehicle with respect to a projected direction of travel on the forecast route in such a way that the respective autonomous vehicle has changed and/or changes its direction of travel and/or its driving speed before or on the predicted arrival of at least one emergency vehicle in such a way that traffic in the direction of the forecast route is not obstructed.
