Abstract: A razor head, especially a razor blade unit, is disposed at the front end of a handle of a wet razor and includes a plastic housing which is provided with a forward guide strip and a rear cover, with a razor blade being embedded in the plastic housing. A separate glide strip is disposed on the cover. So that the razor head provides a more comfortable shave, the cover is essentially formed exclusively by the glide strip.

Abstract: A razor blade unit includes a support member and at least one razor blade secured to the support member with a cutting edge extending from the support member. A wire is wrapped around at least a portion of the support member and the cutting edge of the razor blade with several space side-by-side windings traversing the cutting edge at an angle substantially perpendicular to the cutting edge. The strand is preferably a metal wire having a diameter of less than about 0.1 mm. The support member has grooves at its edges in which the wire is seated to prevent slip-page of the wire in a direction transversed to the edge of the blade.

Abstract: A razor head is provided that is disposed at the front end of a handle of a wet razor. The razor head includes a body in which is disposed a single or double razor blade. A guide strip that extends parallel to the razor blade is disposed in front of the same and is furthermore disposed on a displacement mechanism or a pivot mechanism in such a way that in a direction perpendicular to a lengthwise dimension of the guide strip, the latter is freely movable counter to a spring force. This allows the shaving angle and hence the cutting geometry to be altered in a straighforward manner.

Abstract: The invention relates to a shaver head for a wet shaver. The shaver head is arranged at the front end of a handle. A razor blade, in the form of a single or double razor blade, is mounted in the shaver head. The shaver head has a guide strip parallel to and in front of the cutting edges of the razor blades. To achieve a variation of the shaving angle and thus the cutting geometry in a technically simple fashion, the razor blades are arranged in a blade block which is swivelably mounted in relation to the remainder of the body of the shaver head. The blade block is able to swivel freely against a spring force about a swivelling axis parallel to the cutting edges of the blades.

At least one freely rotatable cylindrical roller is attached axially to the support member and extends parallel to the cutting edge of the razor blade to engage a skin area. A cylindrical roller has a lower coefficient of friction than the plastic support member. The cylindrical roller was preferably made of metal and is located in the guide surface and/or in the top cap of the razor blade unit.

The blade holder 2 supports a blade unit 8 formed by a blade 9 sandwiched between two side members 8',8" of plastics material. Guide grooves 15',15" in the side members are engaged by the inwardly-directed flanges 16',16" of a clamping rail 7 forming part of the blade holder.The blade units are stored in a dispenser from which they can be withdrawn by sliding the rail 7 fully on to a blade unit and then lifting one end of the rail to lift the blade unit against the force of resilient retaining projections which engage opposite ends of each blade unit to hold it in the dispenser.

Abstract: A travel cap 10 for a T shaped safety razor 11 is designed to be slid on to the razor head 12 from one end of the latter, and comprises a first tubular portion 10a which fits around the heat to one side or the razor handle 13, and a second wrap-around portion 10b integral with the first portion and extending over the remaining length of the razor head, the longitudinal sides 10c,10d of the wrap-around portion being spaced apart to define a slot 10e along which the razor handle 13 can slide.
