  • Patent number: 6793439
Abstract: A securing device for a drainage channel with a channel body, including a cover that can be set onto an upper edge of the channel body. At least two recesses are situated substantially opposite one another in the inner surfaces of the side walls of the channel body. At least one traversing element in the form of an elongated, profiled plate, can be set into the recesses by way of its opposed ends in such a way that it is within the channel and substantially perpendicular to the long axis thereof, and which is provided with a locking element at at least one of its two longitudinal ends. The locking element is an exchangeable, recesses by way of its opposed ends in such a way that it is within the channel and substantially perpendicular to the long axis thereof, and which is provided with a locking element at at least one of its two longitudinal ends.

  • Patent number: 5518336
Abstract: Drainage gutters for installation in the ground are known which comprise a gutter body at the upper edges of which are integrally cast frames into which a cover can be placed. As they are installed in the ground the drainage gutters are sealed from the ground along their upper edges by means of first sealing devices. To produce a watertight seal between each two drainage gutters that abut one another by their end faces, second sealing devices are provided. These sealing devices each comprise grooves that can be filled with a sealant. The known drainage gutters are not completely watertight with respect to the ground. It is proposed to provide connecting channels between the first and the second grooves, so constructed that the sealant of the first sealing devices can be introduced so as to be continuous with the sealant of the second sealing devices by way of a complete or integral transition region.

  • Patent number: 5468096
Abstract: A means for securing a cover to a drainage channel body defining a drainage channel and wherein said channel body defines at least two cutouts located substantially opposite one another in inner side walls defining said channel comprises at least one cross-bar and a fixing means. The cross-bar defines two ends that can be inserted respectively into said cutouts so that the cross-bar is disposed transversely across the drainage channel. A clamping means is located at at least one of the ends of the cross-bar to retain the cross-bar in place after insertion of its ends into the cut-outs. The fixing means attaches the cover to the channel body by way of attachment of the cover to the cross-bar.

  • Patent number: 5466091
Abstract: Surface drainage apparatus comprises a channel body defining a drainage channel with a cover defining apertures through which drainage can pass into the drainage channel. A fixing means is provided for attachment of the cover to the channel body and comprises a first fixing element for attachment to the channel body and a complementary second fixing element for attachment to the cover. The channel body defines at least one universal receiving aperture into which one of a plurality of differently constructed first fixing elements is capable of being located both before and after installation of said surface drainage apparatus. In this way both the production costs and the operating costs of the surface drainage apparatus can be reduced, especially when conversion is necessary.

  • Patent number: 5462382
Abstract: Surface drainage apparatus comprises a channel body defining a drainage channel with a cover defining apertures through which drainage can pass into the drainage channel. A fixing means for attachment of the cover to the channel body is provided and comprises a first fixing element for attachment to said channel body and a complementary second fixing element for attachment to said cover. The second fixing element comprises a bolt that is mounted in the cover so as to be capable of sliding into a locking position in the direction toward a long edge defined by said cover and back out of this locking position into an opened position. The first fixing element comprises a retaining means which when the bolt slides into the locking position engages with the bolt in such a way that said cover is retained on the channel body.

  • Patent number: 5437516
Abstract: Surface drainage apparatus is provided comprising a channel body defining a drainage channel and a cover for the channel. A fixing means is provided for attachment of the cover to the channel body and comprises a first fixing element for attachment to the channel body and a complementary second fixing element for attachment to the cover. The first fixing element comprises a clamping spring defining a receiving opening and the second fixing element comprises a peg formed with an enlarged end that is a leading end for insertion of the peg into the clamping spring. The clamping spring and the peg are constructed so that the peg can be inserted into the receiving opening, thereby elastically deforming the spring, and retained therein after insertion in a direction substantially perpendicular to the plane of the cover.
