  • Patent number: 7367842
Abstract: The invention relates to an electric connecting plug comprising a plug member provided with an internal contact and at least one external contact radially remote from the internal contact with respect to the longitudinal axis of the member. The plug member is received by a housing element which is applied by the internal part thereof on the contact side to the external part of the external contact in such a way that the external contact of the connecting plug is radially inwardly pressed against the external contact of a bush by the axial displacement of the plug member with respect to the housing element. In order to ease of handling the connecting plug, the invention is comprised of a plug member that is axially movably mounted in the housing element which is provided with a lever pivotally mounted thereon and effects the plug member in such a way that it is displaceable with respect to the plug element by actuating the lever.

  • Patent number: 7354306
Abstract: The invention relates to a pole terminal for producing an electrical connection. Said pole terminal comprises a metallic conductive body which is surrounded by an insulating body which can be fixed to the housing of an electrical appliance, and on which a tensioning nut can be screwed, said tensioning nut clamping the electrical conductor to be connected against the conductive body, establishing an electrical contact. The aim of the invention is to improve one such pole terminal in such a way that the conductive body can be produced from a material which is highly conductive, such as silver or copper. To this end, the conductive body is produced from a material exhibiting higher conductivity, by means of noncutting deformation, and is connected to the surrounding insulating body to form a composite body. Preferably, the conductive body is embodied as a stamped part which is machined by bending strain.

  • Patent number: 7001220
Abstract: The invention relates to a socket (1) for a coaxial electrical plug-in connector as well as a pertaining plug. The socket (1) is comprised of an inner contact opening (2) with an inner contact element (3) arranged therein. The inner contact opening (2) is surrounded by an outer plug (4) being of a circular-cylindrical construction, said plug having an outer contact element. To improve the electrical properties of such a socket on transmission of audio and video signals between devices applied in consumer electronics, the present invention proposes an outer plug (4) to be made of an electrically insulating material, with the outer contact element being designed and built as a contact strip (6) in its contact area, with the curvature of said contact strip forming a circular-cylindrical helical curve on the outside of said outer plug (4).

  • Patent number: 6319078
Abstract: The invention relates to a cable lug for connecting a cable end to a screw type terminal. The cable lug comprises a flat, u-shaped contact fork which is open toward the front and which merges into a fork shaft toward the rear. The fork shaft is provided with connection means for a cable end. At least one base plate configured as a signal conductor, at least one damping disk made of elastic material, and at least one cover plate are assembled in a stacked, sandwich-like manner in the area of the contact fork. In order to improve functional characteristics and durability, and more particularly to obtain an improved vibration-damping action, the invention provides that the cover plate extends over the sides of the damping disk.

  • Patent number: 5318458
Abstract: A device for connecting to the end of a cable, having stranded wires including a sleeve nut. The sleeve nut has threads at one end. The cable is placed through the sleeve nut with the threads facing towards the end of the cable. A sleeve is provided with gripping means. The cable is placed through the sleeve after the sleeve nut. The gripping means are in contact with the outer insulated surface of the cable and prevent the cable from sliding out of the sleeve. An outer support ring having threads and including a pointed contact is provided. The pointed contact penetrates the stranded wires of the cable as the sleeve nut threads and the outer support ring threads engage and are rotated. This causes the sleeve nut and the outer support ring to move together, radially compressing the sleeve, so that the gripping means prevent the cable from sliding out of the sleeve.

  • Patent number: 5226841
Abstract: A clamping device for making an electrical connection has a tightening nut which can be screwed on a screw thread and on being axially adjusted exerts a clamping force on a component which cannot be axially moved, e.g., the end of a cable to be clamped. In order to permit particularly easy tightening and releasing in such a clamping device and prevent damage to the axially immovable component, the tightening nut is fitted on the clamping side with a separate pressure member transmitting the clamping force fitted on the clamping nut rotatably about the screw thread axis.
