  • Patent number: 4718602
Abstract: A fuel-operated vehicle heater especially of the type intended as an auxiliary or additional vehicle heater and which has a nozzle sitting on a nozzle holder to which fuel is fed from a fuel line by a filter, a fuel pump and an interposed solenoid valve. In a preferred embodiment heater, the nozzle holder, fuel pump, filter and solenoid valve form a subassembly that can be handled as a single unit. Advantageously, this subassembly can be fastened by screws to a flange within a housing part of the heater. On this flange can also be fastened an ignition spark emitter an a central connecting device, such as a burner motor. Advantageously, the feed line and/or the return line for the fuel supply are formed in the flange.

  • Patent number: 4634775
Abstract: There are described new optically active 3,4-bis-(diphenylphosphino)-pyrrolidines of the formula ##STR1## wherein Ph is a phenyl group and R is hydrogen, an alkyl group, an arylalkyl group or an acyl group, rhodium complexes containing a compound of formula (I) as its chiral ligands, said rhodium complexes having the formula[RH(en).sub.2 A].sup.+ X.sup.- (II),where (en).sub.2 is two molecules of a monoolefin or one molecule of a diolefin, A is an optically active compound of formula (I) and X.sup.- is a tetrafluoroborate, hexafluorophosphate or a perchlorate ion, and use of the rhodium complexes as catalysts for the homogeneous asymmetric hydrogenation of unsubstituted or .beta.-substituted .alpha.-acylamino-acrylic acids.

  • Patent number: 4209779
Abstract: Method of monitoring equipment wherein a measured value signal in the form of an electrical a-c signal is fed to the measuring channel of an electric circuit and a mean value output signal is formed by the electronic circuit in accordance with the amplitude of the measured value signal, which includes setting an amplitude limit as a function of the mean value signal and the amplitudes of the measured value signal, automatically adapting the amplitude limit with a predetermined time constant to changes in the mean value signal, setting a limit of a number of occurrences when the amplitudes of the measured value signal exceed the amplitude limit, and activating an alarm if the occurrence limit is surpassed within a settable time period, and system for carrying out the method.
