  • Patent number: 7056472
Abstract: A device for feeding a treatment liquid into medical appliances. The device includes an outlet opening for the treatment liquid, especially for feeding water into dental equipment, a feed line for the treatment liquid, means to introduce degerminating agents into the treatment liquid, and an on/off valve disposed upstream from an outlet opening onto which the feed line is connected. A back-flush valve is connected to the on/off valve, and a reservoir is provided for the treatment liquid, whereby the treatment liquid is transported from the reservoir with the aid of a pump. Further, a back-flush line is connectible alternatively via a drain valve to a drain or to the reservoir so that the treatment liquid is pumped into the drain, or in circulation from the reservoir through the feed line to the switch valve and through the back-flush line again into the reservoir.

  • Patent number: 5873717
Abstract: A system for activating a dental handpiece connected to a supply hose after removal of the handpiece from a holder is provided. The handpiece includes a circuit with a switch element that acquires a change of an electrical or magnetic field or that can be influenced by such a field when the handpiece is taken from a holder or, respectively, is returned into a holder. The switch element is allocated to the end part of the supply hose facing toward the handpiece; the part that changes or, respectively, influences the field is disposed at the holder.

  • Patent number: 5473524
Abstract: A work place light fixture is presented wherein a shielding is provided for improved heat elimination and avoids heating of the reflector, this shielding being fashioned transparently at least in the region of the light which charges the reflector and essentially contains only face-side cooling air entry apertures lying in front of the reflector and exit apertures lying behind the reflector.

  • Patent number: 5428517
Abstract: A field of action light allowing lamp replacement in the voltage-free condition of the socket without prior disconnection of the power supply. The base and the lamp form a structural unit that is held is easily detachable fashion in the housing of the light fixture, wherein the base is provided with electrical wiper contacts that interact such with corresponding cooperating contacts in the housing of the light fixture that a contacting of the electrical contacts automatically ensues upon introduction of the structural unit into the housing and a separation of the electrical contacts automatically ensues with the detachment of the structural unit from the housing. A mechanism for axially adjusting the position of the lamp with respect to the reflector is provided.

  • Patent number: 4891041
Abstract: A separating device which utilizes a centrifuge which is driven by a motor for processing liquids enriched with solids by forcing the solids out of the liquid against a peripheral centrifuge wall as a consequence of centrifugal force characterized that a collecting vessel is the centrifuged container. The collecting vessel or centrifuge chamber has a plurality of axially spaced partitions with concentrically arranged openings to form axially spaced chambers which will collect the solids separated from the liquid as the liquid is discharged from the device. In one embodiment, the collecting vessel and centrifuge chamber are a single molded member. In another embodiment, there are two parts, with one being a container-like part receiving an insert having the parititons.

  • Patent number: 4527976
Abstract: The invention relates to a dentist chair with a chair top carrying at least a chair seat. A chair bottom contains a height-adjusting system for the chair top, and at least one apparatus adaptable at the chair bottom which requires various supplies, such as air, water, electric current, which by means of supply lines are brought into the apparatus through the chair bottom from a connection box at the floor. For hookup of the apparatus the chair bottom contains a hookup portion which contains coupling means both for mechanical coupling and for coupling of the various other supply lines. The apparatus is connectible to the supply lines through a counter-piece which matches the hookup portion of the chair bottom and which, for mechanical coupling of the apparatus contains counter-coupling means which can be brought into engagement with the coupling means and which then establishes the proper required connection.

  • Patent number: 4514172
Abstract: An apparatus, which supports dental handpieces and supplies necessary operating agents to the handpiece, which has a hose containing supply lines extending to a connecting member, includes a housing having a support recess for each handpiece, a coupling member for each support recess to coact with the connecting member of the handpiece to connect agent lines in the housing to the supply line, and a control arrangement which selectively controls the flow of agents to the elements of the coupling member including an evaluation arrangement which receives signals indicating the type of handpiece being connected to the coupling member and selectively connecting the various sources to the elements or the coupling member in response to the indicated handpiece.
