  • Patent number: 7335129
Abstract: In a gear unit fitting (1) for a vehicle seat, in particular for a motor vehicle seat, with a first ring wheel (13) to be mounted on a frame side, with a pinion (21) meshing with the first ring wheel (13), and with a second ring wheel (31) meshed with the pinion (21), on the output side, both the difference between the number of teeth (z2) of the first ring wheel (13) and the number of teeth (z3) of the pinion (21) on the frame side, and the difference between the number of teeth (z4) of the second ring wheel (31) and the number of teeth (z3?) of the pinion (21) on the output side, is in each case four.

  • Patent number: 6598938
Abstract: In the case of a locking device for a vehicle seat, in particular for a vehicle seat adjuster, which locking device acts between at least two adjuster parts of the vehicle seat adjuster, which adjuster parts can be adjusted relative to each other, having a first toothed element (11) which is assigned to a first adjuster part, a second toothed element which is assigned to a second adjuster part, at least one clamping element (21) which, in a locked state of the locking device, keeps the two toothed elements (11) in engagement with each other, and at least one intercepting element (30) which, in the event of a crash, supports the first toothed element (11) by means of at least one intercepting surface (31, 32, 33, 34), the intercepting element (30) has at least two intercepting surfaces (31, 32, 33, 34).

  • Patent number: 6540232
Abstract: In an articulated fitting (1) for a vehicle seat, in particular for a motor-vehicle rear-seat bench, having a lower fitting part (5) and an upper fitting part (8), which can rotate relative to the lower fitting part (5), for attaching the backrest of the vehicle seat, the backrest (4) being pivotable by means of the articulated fitting (1) between at least one upright seat position, which can be locked by means of the articulated fitting (1), and a flat table position and/or lying position, which can be secured by means of the articulated fitting (1), a control cam (24) is provided on one of the two fitting parts (8), said control cam interacting with a control element (23) of the upper fitting part (5) in order to control the locking and/or securing by the articulated fitting (1).

  • Patent number: 5188571
Abstract: A jointed fitting is described for vehicle seats comprising a planetary gear enabling the two fitting parts joined by a joint axle to be pivoted relative to each other, a second gear wheel (6) with an external toothing engages a first gear wheel (5) with an internal toothing. Both gear wheels (5, 6) have an involute toothing. Their teeth (7, 8) have a rounded-off head and the number of teeth of the second gear wheel (6) is slightly less than that of the first gear wheel (5). That point on the tooth flanks of the first gear wheel (5) at which the flank section extending along an involute passes into the flank section formed by the rounding-off of the head lies on a circle, the diameter (d.sub.el) of which is chosen so as to be at least approximately the same as the base circle diameter (d.sub.bl) of the first gear wheel (5). The top circle diameter (d.sub.al) of the first gear wheel (5) is smaller than its base circle diameter (d.sub.bl).
