Abstract: A printing cylinder, including: a cylinder body defining at least one tensing channel for tensing with at least one printing block; a tensing jaw arranged in the tensing channel; and a tensing counter jaw which is arranged next to the tensing jaw in the tensing channel and is tiltable about a rotational axis relative to the tensing jaw and the cylinder body, and comprises a tilting area on an outer circumferential area; wherein the tensing jaw and the tensing counter jaw define at least a portion of a gap, into which one end of the at least one printing block can be inserted; and wherein the tensing counter jaw is supported during a tilting movement via its tilting area on a supporting area formed in the tensing channel.

Abstract: A printing machine including a printing film carrier on which a first printing film and a second printing film can be applied, offset with respect to each other in an axial direction, and comprising a suction device which comprises: a first suction cup for the first printing film; a second suction cup, arranged offset with respect to the first suction cup in the axial direction, for the second printing film; and a system for charging the suction cups with a negative pressure or relieving the negative pressure, independently of each other.

Abstract: A printing block assigning system for one or more block cylinders of a rotary printing machine, comprising: a printing block storage comprising storage spaces for printing blocks which can be deposited on the block cylinder; a detector for each storage space for detecting a printing block respectively occupying the storage space and outputting a detection signal; an identification component for receiving, processing and storing information which individually identifies the respective printing blocks is situated outside the printing block storage; the detection signals of the detectors are supplied to the identification component; and the identification component detects whether the printing blocks are situated on the storage spaces respectively assigned to them, on the basis of a comparison between the information received from the printing blocks and the received detection signals.

Abstract: An inker unit for a high-speed printing press which inker unit comprises an endless revolving ink transfer band arranged between ink fountain and ink transfer rolls for transferring ink from the ink fountain roll to the ink transfer roll and having a first run spaced from the outer surface of the ink fountain roll and a second run constantly engaging the ink transfer roll, a ductor roll for periodically moving the first run of the ink transfer band into engagement with the ink fountain roll, and a mechanism for displacing the ink transfer band tangentially relative to the outer surface of the ink fountain roll synchronously with oscillations of the ductor roll.
