  • Patent number: 6648406
Abstract: A mechanism for a wind deflector of a motor vehicle roof is provided which includes a raising lever which is moved in a raising direction by means of a spring. A displacement of a back edge of the wind deflector in a lengthwise direction is balanced during the swiveling motion by means of a compensation device. A spring is used directly as the compensation device.

  • Patent number: 6547320
Abstract: A motor vehicle roof (1) with a sealing system for a support lever (11) in which a pair of seals (14, 15) adjoin one another at their sealing surfaces so as to cover the support lever (11) form above in a lowered position of the lever and are pressed to the side by the support lever (11) when it is moved into a raised support position. The use of a pair of seals instead of a single seal reduces and the seals (14, 15) are preferably hollow chamber seals.

  • Patent number: 6494933
Abstract: The invention relates to a method of utilizing secondary raw materials containing iron, zinc and lead, preferably steelmaking dusts, in a rotary tubular furnace customarily equipped for the rolling process, with basically adjusted rolling slag. By reducing the portion of the carbon carriers in the burden, the energy balance of the rolling process is improved on one hand, and the throughput of the rotary tubular furnace used is increased on the other hand. By improving the quality of the rolling slag, the capability of utilizing the same is favored.

  • Patent number: 5436837
Abstract: A system for controlling a motor vehicle includes a first device for determining control data required for controlling the motor vehicle. A second device monitors the first device. The first device determines second data on the basis of first data, pursuant to a test function. The second device determines third data on the basis of the first data, pursuant to the same test function. The first and/or the second device recognizes an error state relevant to safety, dependent upon a comparison between the second data and the third data.

  • Patent number: 4773597
Abstract: A nozzle for spraying liquids is provided, especially high viscosity liquid media used in the food and chemical industries. The nozzle finds particular use in fluidized bed spray granulators. A fine spray of high viscosity liquid media is attained. A nozzle head is arranged inside a nozzle housing. The nozzle head has a cylindrical portion terminating in a truncated, cone-shaped portion. A plurality of first flow ducts are arranged like the threads on a screw along the surface of the cylindrical portion for guiding a pressure medium such as air. A plurality of second ducts are arranged between the cylindrical portion and truncated, cone-shaped portion of the nozzle head and supply high viscosity liquid medium to the pressure medium exiting the downstream ends of the plurality of first ducts.
