  • Patent number: 6041447
Abstract: Leisure trousers of fashionable design that in a most variable manner can be provided with pockets, applique works or similar, are provided. Fastening elements to which different protective elements can be fixed for protection of body parts exposed to potential injury in different kinds of sports are provided for within the leisure trousers. Herein protection of the areas of knee and hips in particular, and also other body regions, is of major interest. Preferably the protective elements are fastened to inner trousers suspended on the inner waistband of the leisure trousers, wherein the protective elements can be detachably fastened on the inner trousers by bur-type closing members.

  • Patent number: 5058714
Abstract: An apparatus for a drum brake for mechanically actuatable self-energizing internal shoe-type drum brakes for automotive vehicles. A pair of brake shoes (4, 5) is arranged on a brake carrier plate (27) at a thrust member (6) and furnished with tension springs (7, 10). A mechanical actuating apparatus acts between a pair of brake shoe ends (4, 5) disposed opposite each other and prestressed by springs (7, 10). The mechanical actuating apparatus presses the brake shoes (4, 5) for braking against a brake drum (1) enclosing them and a first automatically clearance compensating adjusting device is arranged between the brake shoe ends as well as a second adjusting device arranged at at least one brake shoe web (12) supporting the brake shoe (5).

  • Patent number: 4961480
Abstract: The present invention relates to a pin guiding and/or damping element for floating-caliper spot-type disc brakes, the brake comprising a brake carrier (8) as well as a brake housing (10) which is axially slideable thereto and which straddles a brake disc and brake shoes, while the brake carrier and/or the brake housing is further provided with at least one pin (4) which is guided in a bore (12) of the housing and/or the brake carrier (8), as well as with at least one elastic guiding and/or damping portion seated in the bore. In order to accomplish a good damping as well as an improved protection for the entire guiding length of the guiding pin (4), it is provided that the guiding and damping portion (14) is furnished with a pleated bellows portion (16) at least one of its ends, and that adjacent to this pleated bellows portion (16), there is provision of a rolling diaphragm (22).

  • Patent number: 4819768
Abstract: An actuating device for a disc brake, in particular for automotive vehicles, has a rotatably supported actuating member and a transforming device for transforming a rotary motion into an axial motion. A part of the transforming device may be held by a holding element whereby the transforming device may be non-rotatable and axially displaceable. The holding element has a rotatably supported part fixed to the brake housing. Friction-reducing means is provided between the rotatable part and the element fixed to the housing.

  • Patent number: 4721190
Abstract: The mechanical actuating device for a disc brake has an automatic adjusting device to compensate for wear of the brake pads. The actuating device enables an easy resetting of the adjusting device for brake pad replacement and has a compact construction of all parts. The adjusting spindle extends axially through the actuating device and a clutch secures the adjusting spindle against rotation when the adjusting nut is turned to compensate for wear of the brake pads. To reset the adjusting device for brake pad replacement, the adjusting spindle is turned back by a turning tool.

  • Patent number: 4261770
Abstract: A process for producing epitaxial semiconductor material layers on monocrystalline substrates via liquid phase shift epitaxy wherein, in order to avoid bead-growth on a substrate, at least the lower region of an epitaxy solution chamber is clad with a substrate material so as to displace the location of the bead growth away from the actual substrate and toward the region of the cladding. This process is useful for producing GaAs-(Ga, Al) As and (Ga, In) (As, P) mixed crystal layers for luminescent diodes and laser diodes.

  • Patent number: 4255206
Abstract: A method for manufacturing a semiconductor structure, especially for optoelectronic components, in which, at least one layer of a further semiconductor compound is deposited epitaxially on a substrate of a semiconductor compound. The surface of the substrate is provided with a multiplicity of bevelled structures of the further semiconductor compound. Prior to deposition, the surface of the substrate is provided with a multiplicity of mesas in a predetermined distribution, from each of which a bevelled structure is then generated. The plane and fault-free crystal surface of the bevels is preserved when further layers are deposited. The method is especially well suited for the manufacture of optoelectronic and microwave components.
