  • Patent number: 7171866
Abstract: A vibration generator comprises two unbalance shafts, which are positively coupled in a contra-rotative manner and whose relative phrase position can be shifted by a phase shifting device. Each of the unbalance shafts supports a main unbalance mass and a partial unbalance mass that can move in relation thereto. The position of the partial unbalance masses on the respective unbalance shafts can be actively altered within a large range by adjusting devices. The resulting vibration vector generated by the vibration generator can set in a diverse manner with regard to direction and magnitude.

  • Patent number: 6808336
Abstract: A device for compacting the soil comprising a soil contact element which is impinged upon by an oscillation exciter enabling the soil to be compacted. The soil contact element is elastically coupled to an upper mass. The upper mass is used as a detection mass, whereby the acceleration thereof is detected by an acceleration sensor. A measuring signal emitted by the acceleration sensor is evaluated in a control device which controls the oscillation exciter according to a deviation from a set value.

  • Patent number: 6722815
Abstract: The invention relates to a soil compacting device comprising a vibration generator that acts upon a soil contact plate. A controlling means of the vibration generator comprises an amplitude-controlling unit and a frequency-controlling unit. The amplitude-controlling unit diminishes the vibration amplitude by a first amplitude difference when a jumping of the soil contact plate is detected. When no jumping is detected within a clock timing, the amplitude-controlling unit increases the vibration amplitude by a second amplitude difference. The frequency-controlling unit determines the driving power that is output by a drive to the vibration generator and changes the vibration frequency so that the driving power approximately corresponds to a preset value. The amplitude control and the frequency control are advantageously carried out in parallel.

  • Patent number: 6712550
Abstract: A roller device for compacting the ground comprising a rotatably driven first roller facing, whose speed can be modified, at least within a certain range. Device includes a unit for determining the vertical distance between a surface of a compacted ground lying behind the first roller facing and a lowest point of the first roller facing, and by a speed regulating device for modifying the speed of the first roller facing, based on said distance. The speed regulation device allows the speed of the roller facing to be adjusted in such a away that slip is prevented without determining the actual slip between the roller facing and the ground.

  • Publication number: 20040003671
Abstract: A readjusting device used to modify the functional parameters of an oscillator which comprises at least one rotatable unbalanced mass which is supported by a rotationally driveable shaft is provided with a rotationally mounted adjusting member on said shaft in order to modify the above-mentioned functional parameters and with an adjusting pin which is associated with the adjusting member, can be readjusted in an axial direction inside the shaft and which is arranged in such a way that it can rotate with the shaft. The adjusting pin which can be actuated by a controllable, non-rotating stamp and said stamp are disposed in an axial direction of the shaft in such a way that a crowned contour and a counter surface traversing the rotational axis of the shaft at a right angle touch each other in the center thereof relative to the axis of rotation.
