  • Patent number: 5154288
Abstract: In order to provide a marketable, self-supporting multipack for containers which requires only a small quantity of packaging material and which shows the packed contents such as cans and jars open in their entire height, which is easy to handle and which possesses a good inherent stability for the transport of goods from the manufacturer, via the trade, to the consumer, it is proposed to make provision in a multipack for several containers having the same configuration and height for the one-piece cardboard blank (10;12;20), at its corner areas, to be provided with a flap (18,19) each that can be erected at an angle of 90.degree.

  • Patent number: 4930633
Abstract: A multiple pack for a plurality of cylindrical containers of uniform design and size arranged in at least two longitudinal rows in juxtaposed upright manner. The multiple pack envelope comprises a rectangular cardboard blank in the form of a strip provided with transverse folding lines. The stripe-like blank forms a base surface and two facing, upwardly foldable side or end wall surfaces joined to the base surface and having a height the same as or less than the height of the containers. A surrounding band crossing the upwardly folded side or end wall surfaces and the two uncovered ends or sides of the multiple pack at approximately the mid-point of the container height acts as the sole means for holding together of and for one or two-handed carrying of the multiple pack.

  • Patent number: 4314639
Abstract: A folding box blank forming a carton which can be carried from the top with one hand. A one-part, rectangular punched blank forms, due to the nature of the fold in the top wall, a reliable carrying opening having a plurality of superimposed layers. As a result of the adhesive seal construction, it is possible to open and re-close the folding box carrying container without any damage taking place, so that it can be reused for carrying back empty bottles. The folding box carrying container can be stored in the horizontal position on shelves and is therefore particularly suitable for receiving six wine bottles, which can be removed from the folding box carrying container after opening the cover walls. After removing the bottles, the horizontal folding box carrying container can be folded up into the closed state for dust-proof storage, because the cover walls are held together by the flap in the upper cover wall.

  • Patent number: 4133428
Abstract: Surrounding carton for transporting containers, specifically canisters, with the containers each having a base, an end section remote from the base and a handle on the end section. The carton has a base portion, sidewalls and a cover portion forming a space for receiving the containers. An opening is provided through the cover so that a human hand can pass through it to grip the handle on one of the containers. The opening is located centrally in the cover portion and is aligned with the handle of the central container of a plurality of containers present in an odd number within the carton. The opening in the cover portion is arranged eccentrically to the longitudinal axis of the cover portion.
