  • Patent number: 8146496
Abstract: A printing plate handling device for holding a printing plate (11) adjacent to one edge (12) of the plate, especially adjacent to a bent-over leading edge or a bent-over trailing edge of the printing plate, with a mechanism for holding the printing plate (11) in a flat, frictionally-engaged manner along a surface area of the printing plate adjacent to one edge (12) of the printing plate.

  • Patent number: 8096240
Abstract: Exposed printing plates are bent in the area of a bending device to form a leading end and a trailing end. Each exposed and bent printing plate is grasped in the area of the bending device at the leading end or at the trailing end of the printing plate by means of a gripping bar and transferred together with the gripping bar to a transporting device. The transporting device transports the printing plate together with the gripping bar toward a printing press, where the printing plate is removed together with the gripping bar from the transporting device in the area of the printing press. While grasped by the gripping bar, the plate is transferred to a form cylinder of a printing mechanism of the printing press.

  • Patent number: 7401553
Abstract: A printing plate cartridge for a press including a housing having an old printing compartment for holding a printing plate to be removed during a printing plate change and a new printing plate compartment for holding a printing plate to be mounted on a form cylinder of a press during a printing plate change. A printing plate to be mounted on the form cylinder is removable from the new printing plate compartment via a first opening for feeding to the form cylinder during a printing plate changing operation. A printing plate to be removed from the form cylinder is capable of being fed to the old printing plate compartment via the first opening during a printing plate changing operation.

  • Publication number: 20050263024
Abstract: The invention provides a printing plate cartridge for a press. The printing plate cartridge includes a housing comprising an upper side, an underside, a front side, a rear side and two narrow sides. The housing includes an old printing compartment for holding a printing plate to be removed during a printing plate change and a new printing plate compartment for holding a printing plate to be mounted on a form cylinder of a press during a printing plate change. A first opening is integrated into one of the upper side or the underside of the housing. A printing plate to be mounted on the form cylinder is removable from the new printing plate compartment via the first opening for feeding to the form cylinder during a printing plate changing operation. A printing plate to be removed from the form cylinder is capable of being fed to the old printing plate compartment via the first opening during a printing plate changing operation.

  • Patent number: 6523169
Abstract: A method for testing system components of an object-oriented program, wherein system components of an object-oriented program are tested such that nested dependencies of methods are resolved and an arbitrary method is replaced by a stub (=substitute function). Methods without implementation are thereby discovered and realized as stubs. A test frame generator generates stubs that have the same call and return parameters available to them as the function to be replaced. Further, the substitute function implies an automatic status unit that is, in turn, encapsulated as a class and is instanced in the stub. When the stub is called during the test, the user can interactively use commands that are defined by the encapsulated automatic status unit or combine a plurality of such commands in a command datafile and implement these in automated fashion.

  • Patent number: 5502661
Abstract: Application of VHDL simulators to check the conformance of a design with Design for Testability (DFT) rules. A special DFT logic using VHDL's powerful logic modeling capabilities is defined and a kind of symbolic simulation based on this DFT logic is performed.

  • Patent number: 5003889
Abstract: To provide access to sequentially positioned printing machine operating stations (3, 14, 17, 33, 44) without having to tear a paper web threaded through the printing machine, in which the web passes, when in a printing position, essentially horizontally between the operating stations, a pair of vertically spaced substrate guide elements (23, 26; 123, 126; 56) are positioned on a vertical elevator positioning structure (22, 122; 52), the paper being guided between the guide elements, and the positioning structure permitting movement of the guide elements from an essentially central printing position to an upper position (23b) and a lower position (23a). The paper, before being passed between the substrate guide elements, is passed through a paper storage structure, for example by spaced, deflectable rollers which store paper in loop form, from which it can be released. The upper one of the guide elements is strong enough for an operator to stand thereon.
