  • Publication number: 20240001184
Abstract: The invention relates to a multi-area fire extinguishing system, having a control system, a number of fluid control lines that are configured to transmit a control pressure as a function of control commands of the control system, and a number of fluid-actuated area valves that are each in fluid communication with the control lines, wherein the area valves are configured to be actuated as a function of the received control commands. The invention proposes, in particular, a fluid-actuated area blocking apparatus which is operatively coupled to the fluid control lines and to the area valves and which is configured such that, when one or more area valves are actuated, said area blocking apparatus opens up those area valves and blocks all other area valves. The invention furthermore relates to a controller for a multi-area fire extinguishing system, to an area blocking apparatus for a fire extinguishing system, and to the use of same.

  • Patent number: 9387352
Abstract: A system for extinguishing and/or inerting, including an extinguishing-agent tank, a conveyor device for an extinguishing agent, a pipeline, and nozzles. A synthetic liquid extinguishing agent (12) is stored at low pressure of up to 3 bar relative to 21° C. in the extinguishing-agent tank (1) and at least one incidence sensor detects fire signals and reports them to a fire detection panel and/or control panel (9) which activates the conveyor device (4) that conveys the synthetic liquid extinguishing agent by means of a pipeline (5) to nozzles (6), and the liquid extinguishing agents transitions into the gas phase after leaving the nozzles (6). The system represents a more cost-effective system that requires less technical efforts in comparison to previous systems having synthetic liquid extinguishing agents.
