  • Patent number: 5551602
Abstract: An apparatus for storing and dispensing beverages comprising an outside casing including top and bottom sections, a flexible inner container inside the casing, and a dispensing tube for conducting a beverage from the inner container. The bottom section of the outside casing includes a base and forms an outlet region, and the top section of the outside casing is removably supported by and extends upward from the base and defines a casing interior. The base of the bottom section includes an upper outside circumferential edge, and the top section of the casing includes a lower lateral edge extending around the outside circumferential edge of the base in a contacting, sealing relationship therewith. The flexible inner container is disposed in the casing interior, is comprised of a thin, flexible and collapsible material, and defines a container interior for holding a beverage.

  • Patent number: 5175011
Abstract: A bag for packaging products includes a generally parallelepiped-shaped body of composite sheet material having a rectangular closure zone formed at one end. A closure line extends across the closure zone between the upper and lower sides of the closure zone and a through cutout is formed in the closure zone at the closure line to facilitate opening of the bag. Preferably, the cutout is defined by first and second edges which are generally perpendicular to one another. The first edge is substantially perpendicular to the upper edge of the closure zone and the second edge adjoins the lower end of the first edge and extends substantially parallel to the upper and lower edges of the closure zone. The upper end of the first edge also extends above the upper edge of the closure zone.

  • Patent number: 5000321
Abstract: A package for holding commodities is fabricated from a multilayer compound foil material. The package includes at least one transversely extending closure seam and an opening arrangement positioned adjacent the closure seam. The opening arrangement includes at least one generally line-shaped opening section in which the compound foil is weakened in comparison to areas adjoining the opening section in order to facilitate a guided opening of the opening arrangement.

  • Patent number: 4611838
Abstract: Two metallic pipes to be sealingly interfitted are respectively provided with a plug-shaped male extremity and a socket-shaped female extremity having mating frustoconical peripheral threads and adjoining unthreaded annular peripheral formations closely contacting each other upon assembly. An annular end face of the male extremity and a confronting annular shoulder of the female extremity, lying in planes transverse to the pipe axis or on frustoconical surfaces of large apex angle converging toward the entrance end of the socket upon assembly, respectively have one or more annular rabbets and ribs centered on the pipe axis with profiles having outer or inner flanks parallel to that axis and closely juxtaposed in the fully assembled position in which the top of each rib abuts the bottom of an associated rabbet.

  • Patent number: 4355015
Abstract: The residual gas obtained in the pyrogenic production of metal oxides or metalloid oxides contain besides the desired product elemental chlorine if a chlorine containing starting material is employed. After cooling the residual gas the elemental chlorine is reacted to form hydrogen chloride by using an aqueous solution of a reducing agent and in this form the chlorine is subsequently washed out of the residual gas.

  • Patent number: 4005380
Abstract: The halves of a ferrite core respectively set in the jaws of a pick-up clip are held in plastic holders loosely mounted in the respective clip jaws with compression springs between the holders and the jaws that are weaker than the spring that pulls the clip jaws together. This arrangement enables the core halves to accommodate to each other to produce a flush fit and reduces the impact on closing the clip which the main spring would otherwise produce. A conducting coating is provided for electrical shielding against stray fields.
