  • Publication number: 20170219031
Abstract: The invention relates to a brake lining for disc brakes, in particular for vehicles, having a groove configuration in the friction lining. The groove extends from the entry side to the exit side of the brake lining and converges towards the exit side.

  • Publication number: 20070240949
Abstract: In a brake shoe (1) comprising a carrier plate (2) having arranged thereon first a dampening and noise-reducing intermediate layer (4) and then a friction lining (6), it is provided that the intermediate layer (4), on the side thereof facing towards the friction lining (6), comprises a three-dimensional surface structure, and that the friction lining (6) on the carrier-plate side is adapted to the surface contour (5) of the intermediate layer (4).

  • Publication number: 20060096814
Abstract: Disclosed is a subassembly comprising a braking system which generates friction-induced vibrations. At least one component of the subassembly is exposed to the friction-induced vibrations. Said component can be embodied as a brake pad (9) which is provided with a support plate (5) and a friction lining (10). The support plate (5) and the friction lining (10) form two hollow spaces which are filled with fillings (2) made of energy-absorbing material and are covered by a damping metal sheet (7). The fillings (2) dissipate vibration energy when the brake lining vibrates, thereby contributing to preventing disturbing braking noise from being generated.

  • Patent number: 6851527
Abstract: In a brake shoe (1), particularly for a disk brake of motor vehicles, comprising a carrier plate (2) on which a friction lining (6) is fastened, in which outwardly open grooves (8) are arranged in a groove pattern, it is provided that for the reduction of moment vibrations during the braking procedure, the grooves (8) are filled up with an elastic filler (12) that does not consist of abrasive material.

  • Publication number: 20040238297
Abstract: In a brake shoe, in particular for a disk brake of motor vehicles, comprising a support plate (2) to which a friction lining (6) is fastened, the carrier plate (2) is formed by a plurality of interconnected or separate plate portions (8,10;12, 14), wherein at least one plate portion (8) carries the friction lining (6) which, relative to the at least one further plate portion (10;12,14), is elastically or viscoelastically supported to prevent friction oscillations from occurring during the braking process.

  • Patent number: 6041893
Abstract: In a brake jaw consisting of a lining support member (2) and a friction lining (4), an intermediate layer (6, 8) arranged between the friction lining (4) and the lining support member (2) and acting as a damping layer to avoid squealing caused by friction, it is provided that the intermediate layer (6, 8) consists of a material mixture that is adapted to damp friction squealing during braking and to generate an acoustic alarm signal when reaching the wear limit.
