  • Publication number: 20230367558
Abstract: A method for diagnosing a user program for controlling movement and positioning tasks of drives operated to execute a movement path of an apparatus, wherein the apparatus and movement path are depicted as a three-dimensional view in a first output element, to depict the movement path, a graphic element formed as a polygonal chain is generated for movement sections, which is operated in a force sensitive manner so that a user can select a location on the polygonal chain with a pointer device and obtain a display of an output field with a line of code that has the program instruction that is responsible through the execution for reaching the location within the movement section of the apparatus or position vector, and a recording method was performed in which the current position vector and the associated line of code or a code line index are recorded at sampling time points.

  • Patent number: 11243254
Abstract: A method for operating a test apparatus including a plurality of shared resources is shown, wherein the plurality of shared resources can be used in different instruments. The method includes blocking a first set of resource blockers when a first instrument, which requires a first subset of the shared resources, is to be executed. Furthermore, the method tries to block a second set of resource blockers, when a second instrument, which requires a second subset of the shared resources, is to be executed. Therefore, the first set of resource blockers is different from the second set of resource blockers and a plurality of resource blockers are assigned to a shared resource, which is involved in a conflicting combination of instruments and in a non-conflicting combination of instruments.

  • Publication number: 20210116321
Abstract: A technique of safeguarding equipment involves deriving a pressure pulse amplitude based on operation of a pump of the equipment, and performing a comparison operation that compares the pressure pulse amplitude value to a predefined threshold. The technique further involves performing, in response to a result of the comparison operation indicating that the pressure pulse amplitude value has fallen below the predefined threshold, a remedial activity to prevent damage to the equipment or to prevent endangerment to persons affected by the failure of the equipment. For example, in the case of an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), the remedial action may be to transit the UAV from a densely populated area to a rural area where landing may be possible without injuring persons or damaging the UAV.

  • Patent number: 10571296
Abstract: A circuit for obtaining information on a physical quantity according to an embodiment includes a sensor arrangement sensitive to the physical quantity, at least one further sensor element sensitive to the physical quantity and a supply circuit configured to provide the sensor arrangement with a supply signal comprising a supply voltage controlled by the supply circuit in a closed-loop configuration. The supply circuit is further configured to provide the at least one further sensor element with a further supply signal comprising a further supply current such that a magnitude of the further supply current fulfills a predetermined relationship with a magnitude of a supply current of the supply signal. As a consequence, it may be possible to improve a trade-off between an improved compensation of variations, simplifying an implementation, simplifying the manufacturing, simplifying the sensing and providing stable sensing conditions.

  • Patent number: 9475165
Abstract: In a method and a machine tool for machining metallic workpieces, a cooling device is provided to supply a cryogenic coolant to a first tool and a precooling device is provided to supply the cryogenic coolant to a second tool. The first tool is held in a first chuck and processes a workpiece, with the first tool during processing being cooled via the cryogenic coolant. The second tool is held in a second chuck and will subsequently be used for processing the workpiece. The second tool is supplied via the precooling device with the cryogenic coolant and thus cooled to the operating temperature required for processing. Due to the fact that the second tool is precooled to the required processing temperature, after the change of tools, the processing of the workpiece can be continued immediately. By precooling the second tool during the primary processing time, the total processing time of the workpiece is reduced, providing the machine tool with higher productivity.

  • Patent number: 9393660
Abstract: A tool turret for machining workpieces has a housing and with a part that can be rotated around an axis of rotation into several rotary positions. On the rotating part, several tool holders are mounted on the circumference for holding tools to which a cryogenic cooling medium can be fed by means of a first feed line and a respective second feed line. The first feed line can be moved in a linear manner in at least some sections by a linear actuator whereby the first feed line is connected in a first position with the second feed line belonging to the tool in work position and in a second position is disconnected from the second feed lines for changing the rotary position of the rotating part. The tool turret enables the cryogenic cooling medium to be fed to the tools in a simple and reliable manner.
