  • Patent number: 9290395
Abstract: A method for stabilising or raising the pH of bodies of water and/or neutralising bodies of water is illustrated and described. According to the invention a feed material containing an unburnt lime product, the unburnt lime product having a granularity with a fraction <about 10 ?m of ?50%, is used to stabilise or raise the pH and/or neutralise bodies of water. With the aid of the proposed method the pH of bodies of water can be stabilised, raised and/or bodies of water can be neutralised effectively and in an ecologically harmless manner, and at low cost.

    Assignee: Rheinkalk GmbH
Inventors: Wolfgang König, Wolfgang Rabe, Günter Scholz
  • Patent number: 8617402
Abstract: The invention relates to a method of raising the pH of a body of water having a pH of less than 4.5 by introducing neutralizing agent, the raising of the pH taking place in at least two stages thus: at pH levels below 4.5, a first neutralizing agent having a final conductivity of not more than 100 ?S/cm, and, after attainment of a pH of at least 4.5, a second neutralizing agent, having a final conductivity of more than 100 ?S/cm, is introduced into the body of water, the final conductivity of the neutralizing agents being defined as the conductivity of an aqueous suspension or solution of neutralizing agent in solution equilibrium at 25° C., having a neutralizing agent content of 0.015% by weight.

  • Publication number: 20040224524
Abstract: An apparatus for etching a metal-containing material of a lithographic mask has a chamber with a support for supporting the mask inside the chamber. Over the metal-containing material, the mask comprises a resist layer having features with sidewalls. A gas distributor, gas energizer, and gas exhaust are provided. A controller is provided that is adapted to control one or more of the gas distributor, gas energizer, and gas exhaust to (i) deposit a sacrificial coating on the sidewalls of the features in the resist layer, and (ii) etch the metal-containing material of the mask. Coincidental etching of the sidewalls of the features in the resist layer overlying the metal-containing material is reduced by the sacrificial coating formed thereon.

  • Patent number: 6579996
Abstract: A method for removing free fatty acids from fats or oils of biological origin or their steam distillates by extracting the free fatty acids with a mixture of basic organic nitrogen compounds and water as an extraction medium at a temperature below the boiling point of the organic nitrogen compounds. The content of the basic organic nitrogen compounds in the extraction medium is 20-30% by weight. In this manner, the formation of a viscous soapstock which is difficult to remove is prevented. The boiling point of the basic organic nitrogen compounds used is the same as or above boiling point of water and below the boiling point of the fatty acids to be extracted in order to enable simple recovery of the extraction medium.

  • Patent number: 6371480
Abstract: A device for transporting sheetlike material is proposed wherein the material to be conveyed is always held between a conveyer belt (1) and a guide means (20) each lying against one of the opposite sides of the material (23). In order to maintain a reliable transport function even with fluctuating sheet thickness, it is provided that the run of the conveyer belt facing the material (23) is loaded elastically in the direction of the material (23) by pressure elements (14, 16).
