  • Patent number: 11562744
Abstract: In one embodiment, a method includes receiving a voice input from a user and determining a first style of the voice input, based on first features extracted from the voice input. A second style for a voice response having second features may then be determined based on the first style. Finally, the voice response may be generated based on the second features of the second style, and this voice response may be provided in response to the voice input.

  • Patent number: 10061855
Abstract: A social networking system obtains user pronunciations of terms whose pronunciations might vary among different users, such as names of users. The social networking system additionally obtains demographic information about the users from whom the pronunciations were obtained, as well as social graph information for those users, such as information about connections of those users in the social graph. Based on the obtained pronunciations, the demographic information, and the social graph information, the social networking system determines, for a user having that name (or other term in question), one or more suggested pronunciations for the name that are likely to be the pronunciations that that user would use.

  • Patent number: 5706766
Abstract: A once-through steam generator has a vertical flue formed of tubes which are oriented vertically and which are connected in parallel for guiding a flow of flow medium therethrough. The tubes have a surface structure on an inner wall surface which causes flow turbulence and eddy currents in the flow medium. The surface structure includes first and second, mutually superimposed, contrary ribbings. The first ribbing encloses an acute angle with the tube axis, and the second ribbing extends parallel to the tube axis. The first ribbing forms an onflow flank angle with the tube wall which is flatter than a flow-off flank angle. Elevations of the ribbings rise at least 0.7 mm above the tube wall surface. A mass flow density of the medium in the tubes is adjusted as a function of the inner tube diameter, by maintaining the mass flow density below a predetermined limit curve.

  • Patent number: 4987862
Abstract: A once-through stem generator includes a vertical gas flue having a total given height, a bottom, a lower part having a height equal to less than 70% of the total given height, an upper part, and fossil fuel burners disposed on the lower part. The lower and upper parts are formed of gas-tight tube walls with tubes. The tubes of the lower part rise obliquely, while the tubes of the upper part are vertical. The lower part has a lower end limited by the bottom, and the upper part has an upper end limited a partition of the vertical gas flue, by a cross-sectional restriction of the tube walls, or by a lower edge of a heating surface within the vertical gas flue.

  • Patent number: 4281041
Abstract: In order to produce hard solderable metal coatings on a ceramic there is applied to the ceramic base a thin layer of a palladium alloy containing 20-70% of cobalt and/or iron. The coating is preferably applied by vapor deposition or sputtering. The adhesiveness of the coatings is still further improved if there is added to the alloy 3-20% of chromium, manganese and/or titanium.
