  • Patent number: 8113029
Abstract: The invention relates a drop forging method by means of a forging device provided with a hammer and a forging die, wherein a part placed in the forging die is shaped with a hammer blow, several engravings are formed in the die, a blank is initially inserted into the first engraving and said blank is moved along the other engravings to the last engraving, and then said blank picked up during shaping by a forging gripper. In order to obtain an optimum operating mode, the invention is characterized in that the part is received in a plurality of engravings with each hammer blow. In order to obtain a symmetrical distribution of the hammer load between occupied and non-occupied engravings, the parts are gripped respectively during shaping by the forging grippers.

  • Patent number: 8087327
Abstract: A pair of tongs with two tong limbs are connected rotatably to each other in a joint in which they are inserted and which has an axially fixed joint pin. The tong limbs are only rotatable with respect to each other. A working region and a handle region are formed in each case on one tong limb. A receiving tong limb is designed with an insertion slot which has a slot width in the region of the joint and through which the other inserted tong limb is inserted. The working regions of the tong limbs have a greater width, at least in part, than the slot width. The handle region of the inserted tong limb has a width and, if appropriate, a thickness which corresponds to the slot width. The handle covering has a reinforcing element.

  • Publication number: 20090165602
Abstract: The invention relates to a pair of tongs (1) with two tong limbs (2, 3) which are connected rotatably to each other in a joint in which they are inserted and which has an axially fixed joint pin (7), wherein the tong limbs (2, 3) are only rotatable with respect to each other, and a working region (4) and a handle region (5) are formed in each case on one tong limb (2, 3), and a receiving tong limb (3) is designed with an insertion slot (6) which has a slot width (s) in the region of the joint and through which the other inserted tong limb (2) is inserted, wherein, furthermore, the working regions (4) of the tong limbs (2, 3) have a greater width (b), at least in part, than the slot width (s). In order to make production economic with the stability being as good as possible, the invention proposes that the handle region (5) of the inserted tong limb (2) has a width (B) and, if appropriate, a thickness which corresponds to the slot width (s).
