  • Publication number: 20240162732
Abstract: A system includes a first battery pack and a connected charger. The connected charger is configured to removably couple or recouple with the first battery pack to charge or recharge the first battery pack via a first interface. The connected charger includes a communications module disposed within the housing of the connected charger that receives information related to a power tool and/or the first battery pack from a cloud-based computing system during a period of time when the first battery pack is disconnected from the first interface. The connected charger includes a memory configured to store the power tool and/or the first battery pack information until the first battery pack is coupled or recoupled to the connected charger. The connected charger transmits the information from the connected charger to the first battery pack when the first battery pack is coupled or recoupled to the connected charger.

  • Publication number: 20240162719
Abstract: A system includes two or more battery packs configured to receive power tool information and to gather battery pack information. The system includes a connected charger configured to concurrently and removably couple with the two or more battery packs to charge or recharge the battery packs each via two or more interfaces. The connected charger includes a memory to receive the power tool information and/or the battery pack information from each of the two or more battery packs. The connected charger includes a communications module disposed within the housing to transmit information received from a first battery pack to a cloud-based computing system during a period of time when the first battery pack is disconnected from a first interface and while the connected charger continues to charge and/or receive information from a second battery pack removably coupled to a second interface of the connected charger.
