  • Patent number: 8455435
Abstract: The present invention relates to uses and methods of parathyroid hormone (PTH), preferably PTH (1-34), and/or parathyroid hormone-related peptide (PTHrP), preferably PTHrP (1-34), for recruiting stem cells into tissue suffering from ischemia, wherein said stem cells are preferably capable of repairing and/or regenerating said tissue suffering from ischemia. Also provided is the use of a combination of G-CSF or a G-CSF fragment and a DPP IV inhibitor/antagonist in the medical intervention of an ischemic disorder. Accordingly, the uses and methods of the present invention are preferably suitable for the prevention and/or treatment of ischemia. Moreover, the present invention relates to a composition comprising parathyroid hormone (PTH), preferably PTH (1-34), and/or parathyroid hormone-related peptide (PTHrP), preferably PTHrP (1-34), and/or G-CSF or a G-CSF fragment for use as a pharmaceutical composition.

  • Publication number: 20030035794
Abstract: The invention pertains to a gene therapeutic nucleic acid working model containing a regulatory nucleic acid sequence of the 5′ end myosin light chain 2 gene (MLC 2) of the heart that is functionally connected to a nucleic acid, which is encoded for a therapeutically effective gene product, an antisense nucleic acid, or a ribosome, as well as a process for its production and application for the gene therapeutic treatment of heart disease.

  • Publication number: 20030003533
Abstract: The invention relates to an expression cassette that comprises, under the genetic control of an organ- or tissue-specific promoter and optionally one or more other regulatory elements 3′ downstream of the promoter, the coding nucleotide sequence of at least one non-immunogen receptor localized on the cell surface. The invention further relates to the vectors produced therefrom, to the host cells containing said vectors, to a method for purifying differentiated somatic cells using said constructs and to the use of said somatic cells in therapy.
