  • Patent number: 5387980
Abstract: A device for sending and receiving graphical documents via teletransmission lines comprises an input station (16), a withdrawal station (20) for single-sheet graphical original, a transport system which transports the graphical originals along a reading device from the input station (16) to the withdrawal station (20), an output station (32) for a printed print carrier and a transport system which transports the print carrier material from material supply station (60) along a printer to the output station (32). The output station (32) is located in the head region and the withdrawal station (20) in the base region of the device. Both the input station (16) and the withdrawal station (20) for the printed originals in the base region (8) of the device (2) are arranged on two opposite sides (3,6) or the device so that the output station (32) in the head region (10) of the device (2) is located at a considerable distance from both the input station (16) and the withdrawal station (20).

  • Patent number: 5320437
Abstract: The invention relates to a flat printer which is divided in a print carrier plane into a lower housing part and a housing cover which can be placed on or lifted off the latter. The housing cover is pivotably connected to the lower housing part. In a basic version, the housing cover contains only inactive functional components, namely a printing abutment as well as upper transport rollers. All the active functional components, namely the printing head, the driven lower transport rollers with their drives, as well as the drive for the ink ribbon cassette are arranged in the lower housing part. The electronic drive and control device is designed as a circuit board, onto which the functional components to be connected to it are preferably plugged directly.

  • Patent number: 5039233
Abstract: A printing device is disclosed, consisting of a chassis (10), an abutment (40), and relative to the abutment in the direction of lines, an adjustable printing head (36) and a chassis fixed stop (16) for fixing the printing position of a print carrier (18), inserted between the printing head (36) and the abutment (40). The stop (16) is assigned a holding device (20) for holding the print carrier in its printing position, whereby the beam-shaped abutment (40) and the printing head (36) are carried on a pivoting frame (42), which on chassis (10) parallel to abutment (40) and a distance to an axis (44) is carried in a pivoted mode and by way of a pivoting drive (62-72) is adjustable.

  • Patent number: 4651609
Abstract: The invention relates to a device for selectively notching or severing a paper strip (18), e.g. a cashier's bill, in a printer. The cutter (2) is pushed to and fro by means of a sliding block (38) arranged on it by way of a pivot, which block engages in a slide track (28). The sliding block (38) can assume two different angular positions in the slide track (28), in which the pivot (36) connecting the slide block (38) with the cutter (2) is located either radially inside or outside of the center line of the slide track (28), so that the cutter (2) reaches different end positions, in one of which the paper strip (18) is notched and in the other of which it is severed. The setting of the different angular positions of the sliding block (38) takes placed automatically through a choice of the rotation direction of the crank disk (26) showing the slide track (28).

  • Patent number: 4487519
Abstract: The invention relates to an apparatus for printing on receipt forms or the like with a one-line printing mechanism. In order also to be able to print the form with a number of lines, this is gripped firmly on a sliding carriage and the carriage is moved along into different line positions on the printing mechanism. A mechanical control mechanism with a cam plate serves for driving the sliding carriage. The closed cam plate makes possible a control in the retraction and extension direction with a corresponding rotation of the cam plate. The exact positioning of the sliding carriage is done by a ratchet in the control mechanism. An electronic control takes care of an automatic running of one printing operation.
