  • Publication number: 20120048495
Abstract: The invention relates to an arrangement for feeding a fibrous suspension (1) to at least one headbox (8) of a paper or cardboard machine with at least one diluting device (5), in which the fibrous suspension (1) is produced by mixing a high-consistency suspension (6) with a diluting liquid, wherein the diluting liquid is formed at least in part by backwater (2) of the paper or cardboard machine, the backwater (2) is pre-degassed in at least one open channel (3) and subsequently is guided into a diluting device (5) via a degassing device (4). The expenditure is to be reduced thereby in that the potential energy of the fibrous suspension (1) in the channel (3) is not above the potential energy of the fibrous suspension (1) in the diluting device (5) and the pressure at the outflow of the degassing device (4) is between ?0.3 and 1 bar or that the potential energy of the fibrous suspension (1) in the channel (3) is above the potential energy of the fibrous suspension (1) in the diluting device (5).

  • Publication number: 20090223873
Abstract: The screening apparatus according to the invention is used for processing contaminated fibrous suspension, such as is produced during the preparation of waste paper. It has a housing (1) with a screen (3) which divides off an accepts chamber (2) from housing (1). A rotor (4) can be moved along close to the screen (3), by which the latter is kept free and, in addition, a rotational flow is produced. The housing (1) has a main part (7), which is cylindrical and of which the center is at an oblique angle (?) to the axis (12) of the rotor (4) which is between 1 and 60°, preferably between 5 and 25°. The typical position of use of this apparatus is the upright arrangement.

  • Publication number: 20010010294
Abstract: The process is designed for the flotation of interfering materials from an aqueous fibrous pulp suspension and is in particular used in the processing of printed or used paper that is otherwise contaminated. The separation of gas bubbles of the suspension occurs in a flotation layer that has a maximum thickness of approximately 100 mm. The process also achieves good flotation results in fibrous pulp suspensions that have a fiber pulp content significantly larger than 1 % by weight, for example around 2% by weight. A flotation apparatus is provided for performing the flotation process. The apparatus includes a flotation vessel, an inlet, an outlet, and a skimmer device.

  • Patent number: 5510039
Abstract: The method serves for the separation of solid materials out of a suspension and is, as a rule, implemented as a floatation method. The suspension (S) to be clarified is added tangentially from the outside at the periphery of a substantially cylindrical clarification volume (1). Damaging flow phenomena, such as for instance turbulence, are removed to the largest possible extent by flow means (2) which are applied prior to the entry of the suspension into the clarification volume so that an optimal flow takes place in the clarification volume (1). The flow is fed to the center of the clarification volume in a substantially spiral path (4), wherein the scum (6), which receives the materials to be separated out, forms on the surface. Various apparatuses for performing the method are proposed.

  • Patent number: 5509536
Abstract: In a sorting method for fiber suspensions, a dividing wall (3, 3') is used comprising openings via which the compenent particles in the suspension S to be sorted are classified according to their size. The beneficial transporting away of the rejected component particles is thus achieved on the inlet side (4) of the dividing wall (3,3') with the aid of flow blades (7,7'), whereas, on the outlet side (5), pressure pulses produced by clearers (6) act through the openings of the dividing wall preventing them from clogging up.
