  • Patent number: 6221214
Abstract: A wet section of a machine for producing a fibrous material web that includes at least one press. The press includes a nip through which the fibrous material web is guided. The fibrous material web is preformed in a web forming zone. At least one press is an elongated nip press that is elongated in direction of the web travel. This nip is positioned in a region where the dry matter content of the preformed fibrous material web that comes into the nip is less than or equal to about 15% and, preferably is less than or equal to about 12%. A method for treating a fibrous material web in a wet section of a machine for producing the fibrous material web. The wet section includes at least one press including an elongated nip, at least one press and the elongated nip are elongated in a web travel direction. Further, the elongated nip is positioned in a region of the machine where the dry matter content of the fibrous material web, as it enters the elongated nip, is less than or equal to about 15%.

  • Patent number: 6062184
Abstract: A rocker arm or finger lever (1) formed without machining (by a non-cutting shaping process) which has a U-shaped profile in cross section over almost its entire length which is open toward the top or the bottom, whereby the rocker arm or finger lever (1), in its end region in which it contacts a valve shaft end, is constructed double-walled. This rocker arm or finger lever (1) is distinguished in that the double-walled section or at least a strap (13) projecting over the longitudinal extension of the rocker arm or finger lever (1) is formed on an upper wall (10) which is bent under and lies between its two side walls (11, 12). A lever configured in this manner can be manufactured economically and has a good rigidity despite the reduced material used.

  • Patent number: 6050085
Abstract: In order to improve a method of injecting a first and a second fuel component into a combustion chamber, particularly of a rocket engine, wherein an injection element guides the first fuel component in an inner cylindrical stream and the injection element guides the second fuel component in an annular stream surrounding the inner cylindrical stream, so that by comparison with known methods improved mixing and more homogeneous preparation of the fuel takes place on injection into the combustion chamber, it is proposed that in the injection element the first and/or the second fuel component is guided by an element which produces a pressure drop and is disposed and constructed in such a way that the energy released during the pressure drop is at least partially converted into turbulence energy of the stream of the first and/or the second fuel component in order to achieve a good intermixing of the two fuel components in the mixing zone.

  • Patent number: 5564197
Abstract: The dry end of a paper machine comprises a first dryer group with top drying cylinders, with a first drying wire and with bottom deflection suction rolls. Adjacent this, there is a second dryer group with bottom drying cylinders, with a second drying screen and with top deflection suction rolls. In this way, both sides of the web to be dried come, in succession, into direct contact with the drying cylinders. At the place where the web changes from the first drying wire to the second drying wire, there is a transfer suction roll which lies within the loop of the second support belt. The web travels there from the last cylinder of the first dryer group over an at least approximately straight travel path to the transfer suction roll and thus onto the second support belt.

  • Patent number: 5526579
Abstract: The present invention relates to a dryer section of a machine for the production of fibrous web, such as a paper web. The dryer section comprises at least one dryer group having at least one drying cylinder and an endless porous support belt that guides the web around each cylinder. This is followed by a reversing roll being formed as a suction roll. With the web being supported by said porous support belt the web directly contacts said reversing roll. A distance of at least 150 mm is provided between the cylinder and the reversing roll. A sealing strip extends transversely over and close to the inner side of the endless porous belt in the region where web and belt are traveling off the cylinder. For deflecting the air boundary layer which arrives together with the belt, a sealing support beam also extends transversely over the inner side of the belt and supports the sealing strip.

At least one two-felt cylinder group is provided in which, the web runs in serpentine fashion alternately over upper cylinders, felted above, and lower cylinders, felted below. At least one additional cylinder group, provided with its own additional drive, is provided adjacent the two-felt cylinder group. Between the two-felt cylinder group and the additional cylinder group there is a free web path at which a tail-cutter is arranged.
