  • Publication number: 20240119838
Abstract: A method for parameterization of a vehicle collision includes obtaining a first outline of a first vehicle; obtaining a second outline of a second object participating in the collision with the first vehicle; modeling a collision between the first vehicle and the second object on the basis of the relative movement of the first and second outlines, wherein in the relative movement, the first and second outlines overlap at least along part of the relative movement; determining the parameterization on the basis of the overlapping extent of the outlines.

  • Patent number: 8931473
Abstract: In the case of a method for operating a cooking point with a gas burner of a gas hob in which a pan detection is provided for switching off the gas burner when the pan is removed, the pan detection can detect the re-placement of a removed pan onto the cooking point. It then brings about a further operation of the gas burner by igniting the gas burner. When the gas burner is ignited after re-placement of the pan, a power level originally set for the gas burner is only achieved to the full extent with a time delay.

  • Publication number: 20120128932
Abstract: The use of a structured coating for implants, particularly for endoprostheses, and a method for production of the coating are provided. At least one metal-organic compound of the general formula El(OR)H2, wherein R stands for an aliphatic or alicyclic hydrocarbon radical and El stands for Al, Ga, In or Tl, first disintegrates at a temperature of more than 400° C., forming a composite structure on the substrate, and is then irradiated, forming a structured coating having a microstructure and/or a nanostructure.

  • Patent number: 7838306
Abstract: An adsorbent for whole blood in the form of essentially spherical non-aggregated particles. The adsorbent comprises a porous carrier material having an average pore size of ?1.5 ?m, whereby a maximum of 50% of the pore volume may be in pores having a pore size of >1.5 ?m, whereby the outer surfaces of the porous carrier material have at least one surface modification M1 so that the outer surface essentially does not interact with blood cells, and the inner surfaces of the porous carrier material, e.g., the surfaces of the pores of the porous carrier material, have at least one surface modification M2 which interacts with substances present in blood.

  • Publication number: 20090189747
Abstract: In a hob (11), an operating toggle placed on a front panel (17) has on a connected power control device an actuator (23) for producing a haptic acknowledgement or response in the case of operation. The operating toggle (19) also has a proximity sensor (27). If a hand (29) approaches the operating toggle (19) for operation, this is detected by the proximity sensor and it brings the actuator (23) from a current-economizing standby mode into a normal mode, where it operates normally. If the hand (29) is removed again, it is again brought into the standby mode.

  • Publication number: 20090173730
Abstract: In order in the case of a hob (11) with operating toggles (19a-19d) placed on a front panel (17) to render visible the association between a contacted operating toggle and the hotplate (15a-15d) adjustable with said operating toggle, on the latter is provided a proximity or contact sensor. If the operating toggle (19a-19d) together with contact sensor is contacted by a hand (29), the LED (33) or other display associated with the hotplate (15) associated with said operating toggle is illuminated, which can be placed directly alongside hotplate (15).

  • Publication number: 20050036979
Abstract: This invention relates to an adsorbent for lowering the concentration of fibrinogen and/or fibrin in the blood or blood plasma, encompassing an organic matrix with synthetic side chains covalently bound to the matrix and exhibiting terminal vicinal hydroxy groups formed by the hydrolysis of terminal epoxy groups, which synthetic side chains are free of peptides and of any groups of aromatics. The invention further relates to a method for preparing the adsorbent, and to the use of the adsorbent for producing an adsorber serving to lower the concentration of fibrinogen and/or fibrin in the blood or blood plasma.

  • Patent number: 5681517
Abstract: A method of producing a casein film, in the form of a planar film or a film tube, by mixing an aqueous solution containing at least one partly volatile carboxylic acid, at least one plasticizer and deionized water, with casein, and causing the mixture to swell, deforming the swollen mixture at temperatures of from 60.degree. C. to 100.degree. C. to obtain a film or a film tube; solidifying the film or film tube by treatment with an aqueous hardening solution and, optionally, by cold-smoking, and drying the film or film tube. The films have excellent packaging characteristics and are biodegradable. They are especially suited for use as edible sausage casings, packaging material for non-hygroscopic, powdery or fat-containing products, for packaging tablets and aromatic dry products, in the production of seed strips and adhesive tapes, and for lining paper.
