  • Patent number: 8759414
Abstract: Described is the use of polymers with a high refractive index for ophthalmic products and a process for the production thereof.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: December 1, 2006
Date of Patent: June 24, 2014
    Assignee: Coronis GmbH
Inventors: Wolfgang Müller-Lierheim, Joachim Storsberg, André Laschewsky, Eckhard Görnitz, Elsbeth Winter
  • Publication number: 20090247661
Abstract: Described is the use of polymers with a high refractive index for ophthalmic products and a process for the production thereof.
    Type: Application
    Filed: December 1, 2006
    Publication date: October 1, 2009
    Applicant: CORONIS GMBH
Inventors: Wolfgang Müller-Lierheim, Joachim Storsberg, André Laschewsky, Eckhard Görnitz, Elsbeth Winter
  • Publication number: 20040155312
Abstract: An optical component, in particular an eye implant of a transparent material, to which there is added at least one transparent filler having a higher refractive index than that of the component material and of a particle size at which substantially no light scatter occurs in the component material.
    Type: Application
    Filed: December 22, 2003
    Publication date: August 12, 2004
    Inventor: Wolfgang Muller-Lierheim
  • Patent number: 6387127
Abstract: An intraocular lens includes (1) a foldable optical lens part made of a copolymer; and (2) a harder haptic part. A high crosslinking of the copolymer of the lens part and of the haptic part results in a high stability against hydrolysis in a biological medium.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: May 12, 2000
Date of Patent: May 14, 2002
    Inventor: Wolfgang Müller-Lierheim
  • Patent number: 5069542
Abstract: A contact lens has an elliptical inside surface with a numerical eccentricity of 0.2 to 0.5 and a zenith radius of curvature of 8.0 to 8.4 mm. The inside surface preferably has a peripheral, circularly cross sectioned bevelled zone. As a soft contact lens, it has these dimensions when fully hydrated and preferably consists of a copolymer comprising of 50% to 90% hydroxyethyl-methacrylate (HEMA) by weight, 2% to 20% one or more unsaturated carboxylic acids, 2% to 20% one or more base monomers, 5% to 25% aliphatic acrylate or methacrylate, and 0.1% to 1% of a dialkylene-glycol-dimethacrylate cross-linker.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: April 21, 1988
Date of Patent: December 3, 1991
Assignee: Titmus Eurocon Kontaktlinsen GmbH & Co. KG.
Inventors: Peter Hofer, Ulrich Muller, Manfred Barenz, Horst Schafer, Wolfgang Muller-Lierheim
  • Patent number: 4895896
Abstract: Contact lens comprising an eye-compatible surface on which monoclonal antibodies or fragments of antibodies are immobilized, the N-terminal ends of which are directed against mucous substances of the human ocular tear film.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: August 14, 1987
Date of Patent: January 23, 1990
    Inventor: Wolfgang Muller-Lierheim
