  • Publication number: 20100286904
Abstract: A device assembly for performing a driver assistance function includes a mobile terminal, and a holder removably installed in the vehicle for temporarily receiving the mobile terminal. At least one image recording device is connected to the holder and, to support the performance of the driver assistance function, is connectable to the mobile terminal via an image signal line and at least one first electrical interface situated in the holder when the holder receives the mobile terminal for performing the driver assistance function.

  • Publication number: 20100265327
Abstract: A system and method to record the surroundings for a movable device. The system has at least one sensor for the visual recording of the surroundings, as well as respectively at least one sensor for recording the direction of motion and the orientation of the device, the system being developed to process information provided by the sensors.

  • Publication number: 20100131155
Abstract: An apparatus for sensing an obstacle in a region surrounding a motor vehicle analyzes an image of the surrounding region, which region is divided into a plurality of fields. For each of the fields, the apparatus compares the relevant probability of the presence of an obstacle with a first threshold value and with a second threshold value that is greater than the first threshold value; determines a first classification of the fields as containing the obstacle if the probability of the relevant field is greater than the first threshold value, and determines a second classification of the fields as containing the obstacle if the probability of the relevant field is greater than the second threshold value.

  • Publication number: 20090192686
Abstract: A method for controlling the drive-off of a motor vehicle in which the area in front of the vehicle is sensed using a sensor device and a drive-off enabling signal is automatically output after the vehicle stops, if the traffic situation allows. Features of the road in the area in front of the vehicle are extracted from the data of the sensor device, and on the basis of these features, at least one enable criterion is checked, a positive result indicating that the road is clear.

  • Patent number: 7501980
Abstract: A method and a device are described for calibrating at least two sensors, the sensors being of a different sensor type. The sensors may be located in or on a motor vehicle. It is possible to calibrate the at least two sensors in one operation by using a calibration object containing reference features for determining calibration data for the at least two sensors.

  • Publication number: 20090025233
Abstract: The invention is based on a hand-held jigsaw, in particular a scrolling jigsaw. It is proposed that control means (10, 100) are provided, by means of which the guiding of a saw blade (12) and/or the hand-held jigsaw along scribe lines (14) can be automated.

  • Publication number: 20080211910
Abstract: Video monitoring systems are commonly used for monitoring streets, junctions, squares, and also public buildings, museums, prisons. Video monitoring systems which output the results for the viewing areas/objects in the scene in metric units, such as lengths in meters and speed in meters per second, or the absolute and/or relative positioning in a camera network, require knowledge of camera parameters such as e.g. the position, orientation, and aperture angle of the camera(s). These parameters are usually manually measured at high cost during the installation process, for example special patterns (sample patterns) are used, or people walking backwards and forwards in front of the camera. A monitoring camera 1 is proposed, according to which the monitoring camera 1 is positioned and/or can be positioned for monitoring at a stationary monitoring position, with a calibration aid system 5, wherein the calibration aid system 5 is designed for determining the stationary monitoring position of the monitoring camera.
