  • Patent number: 6735934
Abstract: A process and device for texturing a thread within a false twist texturing device with a heat exchanger having thread passages formed by thread passage segments. The heat exchanger possesses a first section and a second section which form a chamber into which a fluid can flow to treat a thread during operation of the heat exchanger. The first and second sections of the heat exchanger can be manipulated to enlarge the thread passages to facilitate insertion of the thread. After the thread insertion, the heat exchanger is sealable in such a manner that the thread passages seal around the thread to prevent leakage of the fluid from the chamber while allowing the thread to be movable through the heat exchanger.

  • Patent number: 5771675
Abstract: A device for false-twist texturing of yarn material includes at least three rotatable twisters for disposition around a yarn texturing center, "S"/"Z" twist changeover apparatus for adjusting positions of two of the twisters in relation to a first of the twisters and to transpose the two twisters with each other, and drive changeover apparatus for reversing the rotative drive direction of all of the twisters.

  • Patent number: 5414989
Abstract: A linear course of thread is required for a high speed friction false-twisting unit. For this purpose, the region of travel of the thread through the center of a three spindle disk set triangle should be freely accessible. One of the disk sets is adapted to be swung out on a lever from the other two disk sets. A toothed belt drive is used both in the case of a tangential belt drive and in units driven by an electric motor. A further advantage is that this arrangement can be used in units which have the possibility of a change of the center-to-center distance. The belts from driving rollers which drive the disk set spindles are held outside the center of the disk triangle through which the thread passes.

  • Patent number: 5255503
Abstract: A frictional false twisting unit including a plurality of driven shafts, a driven pulley on one of the shafts, an externally arranged motor with a drive shaft, an endless loop toothed belt between the drive shaft and the driven pulley. The shafts are on a carriage or base plate which is moveable or swingable with respect to either the motor or a base plate on which the motor is disposed. The shaft carrying base plate or carriage is movable to slacken the toothed belt, enabling removal of the driven pulley from the toothed belt and removal of the shafts from the unit. The thread monitoring devices of the unit remain with the unit while the shafts are removed. Channels for the lateral runs of the toothed belt prevent excessive spread of the belt when it is slack and when the driven pulley is removed. A guide beneath the belt prevents the belt from moving down axially when the belt is slack and the driven pulley is removed.

  • Patent number: 5099642
Abstract: A friction false twisting unit having three spindles and respective plurality of disks on each spindle. One spindle and its disks are on a swingable housing which swings out with respect to a stationary housing holding the other two spindles. A lower thread guide is beneath the lowest disk on the first spindle on the swingable housing. The lower thread guide eyelet opening opens toward the front spindle on the stationary housing. The lowest disk on that spindle is a thread guide disk, not a texturing disk. An upper stationary thread guide above the disks has an eyelet opening toward the rear of the housing and toward a respective lateral side of the housing depending upon whether an S twist or a Z twist is being applied to the thread, and the center of the eyelet opening of the upper thread guide is off the center of the triangle defined by the spindles.

  • Patent number: 4718226
Abstract: A device for the false twisting of synthetic threads is provided with a plurality of friction rotors, each constructed of a reusable central bore and an expendable composite ring that is form-fitted and force-fitted to said base so as to be conveniently removable therefrom for replacement when the friction coating along the outer edge of the ring has worn.
