  • Patent number: 11767911
Abstract: Disclosed is a method for operating a multi-speed vehicle transmission having a plurality of shift elements (A, B, C, D, E) for engaging the gears of the vehicle transmission. The method includes decoupling between an input (AN) and an output (AB) of the vehicle transmission in a neutral gear, and coupling the input (AN) and the output (AB) of the vehicle transmission in a drive gear for propelling the vehicle by closing at least one shift element (B). At least one transmission state is determined when the neutral gear is engaged, where a shift element (D) for a reverse gear of the vehicle transmission is closed at least partially if the transmission is in a state with increased drag losses when the neutral gear is engaged.

  • Publication number: 20090183467
Abstract: A device for folding in at least one flap of a box includes a folding mechanism for folding the at least one flap and a pressing mechanism for pressing the flap into the inside of the box, where the pressing mechanism projects into the inside of the box. The flap is closed with only the two tool. Particularly by the use of the pressing means, the flap can be pressed against until such time as glue, applied in the preceding step, has bonded. To adapt to different widths of the package, only one tool has to be exchanged. The folding means need not be changed, since it is adapted for the widest possible package.

  • Publication number: 20050123413
Abstract: The invention proposes a radial piston pump with a pump body, in which pistons and cylinders are placed radially to a drive eccentric. The pistons, upon a suction thrust draw in a fluid through an intake port, which opens into the cylinder and upon a pressure thrust the fluid is expelled into a reserve tank. The geometry of the intake ports (13 to 19) is so conceived, that a lower pressure increase gradient is achieved within the cylinder (2).

  • Patent number: 6582203
Abstract: The invention is based on a radial piston pump (1) with a pump body (2), in which pump body (2) are placed pistons (4), and cylinders (5) arrayed radial to a cam (14) and the pistons (4) upon an inward thrust suck in fluid by means of suction side intakes (17) and upon an outward thrust, the pistons (4) impel fluid through pressure openings (7) in the outer end walls (6) of the cylinder (5) into a plenum (10). It is proposed, that in the base of the cylinders (4) respectively a connection boring (32) is made to the cam (14), which connection boring (32) is controlled by a relief valve (18). Upon the exceeding of its opening pressure the relief valve (18) opens and pressure peaks in the cylinder (5) can be diminished by means of said connection boring. At the same time, a pressure buffer between the base of the piston (4) and the bearing shell (16) is formed.

  • Patent number: 5409089
Abstract: A known shock absorber including a throttle cross section of a throttle passage which is electrically variable via a magnet, to adjust damping of fluid between separate work chambers. If the magnet has no current in the event of an electrical defect, then the throttle cross section of the throttle passage attains its minimum opening, and maximum damping is attained the shock absorber includes a different further throttle passage which is uncovered in the event of an electrical defect. As a result, in the event of an electrical defect an arbitrarily preselectable, preferably approximately average damping is brought about by the further throttle passage.

  • Patent number: 5292814
Abstract: The invention concerns a process for the preparation of monodispersed polymer beads, wherein in a first stage a seed polymer is prepared in an organic solvent and in the presence of an R--X compound, separated and in a second stage an emulsion polymerization is carried out in an aqueous medium in the presence of the seed polymer. The polymer beads obtained in this manner have diameters in the range of 0.5 to 50 .mu.m, and may be used in the immobilization of proteins and cells, as carriers of catalysts and in peptide synthesis and in chromatography.

  • Patent number: 4712530
Abstract: This invention relates to a hydraulic adjustment arrangement for the control of the injection start for a motor vehicle internal combustion engine, consisting of a primary part on the side of the internal-combustion engine and a secondary part on the side of the injection pump as well as radial pistons operating as a function of the admission of hydraulic oil, said radial pistons operating as a function of the admission of hydraulic oil, said radial pistons being guided in cylinders contained in the secondary part and interacting with levers extending in a circumferential direction and being pivoted on the secondary side, flexible connectors resting on said levers in one portion and fixed to the primary part on another portion, such that a radial movement of the pistons and as corresponding outward swivel movement of the levers and the flexible connectors causes a rotation of the secondary part relative to the primary part.

  • Patent number: 4711220
Abstract: This invention relates to a hydraulic-oil feeding device for a hydraulically operated injection timing mechanism disposed on the injection pump shaft of an injection pump for air-compressing injection-type internal-combustion engines. A pump shaft is partially disposed in an injection pump housing. A feeding member leads from the pump housing to the pump shaft. An arrangement of bores forms a passage or transition between the feeding member and the injection timing mechanism. The passage is interrupted during each injection process, and the passage is open in between injection processes.

  • Patent number: 4091771
Abstract: Injection device for injecting fuel into a combustion space such as an auxiliary combustion space of an external auto-ignition internal combustion engine of the type operating on the stratified-charge principle. The injection device includes a housing accommodating a movable pump plunger, a movable nozzle needle controlling the nozzle orifice opening into the auxiliary combustion space, and a movable piston-type storer. The pump plunger is configured to close off respective fuel return and fuel supply lines during its pumping stroke, at which time it effects a build up of pressure resulting in movement of the piston type storer until a predetermined sufficient pressure is reached to force the nozzle needle away from the closed position to thereby effect injection of fuel into the auxiliary combustion space.

  • Patent number: 3948052
Abstract: An exhaust gas channel system which is arranged in the cylinder head of an internal combustion engine and in the housing of an exhaust gas turbo charger flangedly connected to an exhaust flange disposed along the side of the cylinder head; the exhaust apertures of each cylinder are thereby each arranged in that half portion of the respective cylinder which is disposed nearest the cross center plane of the cylinder head while the exhaust gas channels are constituted exclusively by cast-in walls of the cylinder head, on the one hand, and of the exhaust gas turbo-charger, on the other; the latter is threadably connected to the exhaust flange of the cylinder head by means of a complementary counter-flange matched to the exhaust flange of the cylinder head.
