  • Patent number: 10107571
Abstract: A gas-cooled heat exchanger, in particular a direct intercooler, for cooling of a fluid which flows through the heat exchanger, with a heat transfer block featuring a plurality of flow channels, with a first collection chamber and a second collection chamber. The collection chambers are fluidically connected with one another via the flow channels and the outside of the heat transfer block can be perfused by gas. In the direction of the perfusion, a screen is arranged in front of the heat transfer block for the prevention of flow in certain areas around the flow channels of the screen. One of the collection chambers features a vent for discharge of condensate of the fluid which can be sealed from or released into the surrounding area of the heat exchanger.

  • Patent number: 7629723
Abstract: A method and a device, respectively, for detecting the amount of wear on the carbon brush drive system of an electrically commutated d.c. motor which is used, for example, in the form of a pump motor in a motor vehicle. The d.c. motor is driven by at least two carbon brushes and includes means for detecting the generative follow-up voltage. The amount of wear on at least one carbon brush is derived from the time behavior of the generative motor voltage and displayed to the driver.

  • Publication number: 20090183864
Abstract: A heat exchanger is disclosed, comprising a block having pipes and ribs and at least one pipe base provided with receiving openings, wherein the pipes have pipe ends, which can be held in the receiving openings and form pipe/base connections with the pipe base, the connections being at least partially reinforced by an additional sheet metal part located on the side of the pipe base facing the block, wherein the sheet metal part has insertion openings for the pipe ends.

  • Patent number: 5893441
Abstract: A hydraulic friction clutch has a drive shaft, a drive disk fastened non-rotatably thereto, and an output, which is define by an housing. The housing is rotatably journaled relative to the drive shaft via bearings. The drive disk has a profiling to increase the transmittable torque and rotates in a working chamber formed in a space formed inside the housing. The housing has a supply chamber communicating with the working chamber via a bidirectional duct(s). Working fluid is introduced and drained to and from the working chamber solely through the bidirectional duct(s). Working fluid is introduced and drained from the working chamber substantially from the outer radial region of the working chamber.

  • Patent number: 4836092
Abstract: A combined pneumatic and hydraulic pressure transducer is comprised of a pressure capsule with an open interior divided into first and second sections by a partition wall, and a respective axially displaceable diaphragm extends across each of the sections defining third and fourth pressure chambers which change in volume due to axial displacement of the respective diaphragms. A rigid piston intermediate member extends through the partition wall and joins the diaphragms to move together. Connections communicating between the third pressure chambers and between the fourth pressure chambers pass through the intermediate member. A respective hydraulic cylinder at each end of the pressure capsule receives and operates upon a respective end of the intermediate member.
