  • Patent number: 8846132
Abstract: A method for producing a polymer layer on a transparent support. A photopolymerizable liquid composition is applied to the support. The photopolymerizable liquid composition is irradiated through the support such that polymerization of the liquid composition starts at the surface of the support and ends at a predetermined distance over the surface of the support. Only partial polymerization of the liquid composition takes place. A polymer layer with a predetermined thickness is formed on the support wherein the predetermined thickness is less than the thickness of the photopolymerizable liquid composition. The remaining photopolymerizable liquid composition is removed from the entire polymer layer.

  • Publication number: 20120040386
Abstract: There is proposed a diagnostic test element for detecting an analyte in a sample of a body fluid, more particularly in whole blood. The diagnostic test element comprises at least one test field having at least one detection reagent, wherein the detection reagent is set up to pass through at least one detectable change in the presence of the analyte, more particularly an optical change. The test field has at least one detection layer which comprises the detection reagent and which comprises particles. At least 90% of all particles of the detection layer have an actual particle size of less than 10 micrometers.

  • Patent number: 7479253
Abstract: A flat-shaped functional overlay for at least one region of a flat-shaped flexible object which does not form a fold when the sandwich composed of the flexible object and overlay is bent towards the side on which the overlay is located is described. The overlay is composed of one or several flat-shaped overlays which are attached to the flexible object in such a way that a part of their surface can move freely relative to the surface of the object covered by this part in the direction of curvature produced when the object is bent. In addition diagnostic test strips are described which have such an overlay.
