  • Patent number: 6678984
Abstract: The present invention relates to a weapon safeguarding system with a first contact-sensitive user interface for receiving use data characterizing a user. In this connection the first contact-sensitive use interface is arranged in a contact region of a weapon which is contacted by the user with a view to firing a shot. The weapon safeguarding system further comprises a control device which comprises an input unit for receiving the user data, a computer unit for verifying the user data and an output unit. In the case of a successful verification of the user data, which indicates that the user is a user who is authorized for use, the output unit outputs a release signal in order to release a discharging mechanism of the weapon.

  • Patent number: 6644619
Abstract: An improved housing for a thermostatic valve has a nonconducting cover that features a projection into the interior of the valve housing. Mounted on the projection is a thermostatic operating element, which operates to control the valve when wax inside the thermostatic operating element is heated. A pair of electrical leads, connectable to an exterior power source, are embedded within the cover, extending through the projection and connecting to a heating element within the thermostatic operating element. When electrical current is applied to the heating element through the embedded electrical leads, the wax is heated, thereby expanding, driving a work piston of the thermostatic operating element, and opening the valve.

  • Publication number: 20030153791
Abstract: Disclosed is a method for the hydroformylation of olefins comprising 2 to 8 atoms, whereby a) an inflow containing olefins and a gas mixture containing hydrogen and carbon monoxide are fed into a reaction zone and reacted in the presence of a hydroformylation catalyst, b) the reaction product which is released from the raw hydroformylation product is redirected into the reaction zone during the extraction of a gaseous recovery flow. The inventive method is characterised in that c) the recovery flow is brought into intimate contact with a wash liquid in order to eliminate the unreacted olefins contained therein, the wash liquid being a vented hydroformylation product, and the olefin-charged wash liquid and the raw hydroformylation product are redirected for regeneration. Said inventive method enables unreacted olefins to be reclaimed to a large extent from the recovery flow.
