  • Patent number: 11952489
Abstract: A film is shown and described which contains 10 to 50 wt. % of a component A and 50 to 90 wt. % of a component B, based on the sum of the components A and B, component A being selected from the group consisting of polymers that are obtainable from ring-opening polymerization and have a glass transition temperature (Tg) lower than ?30° C. and component B being selected from the group consisting of thermoplastic aliphatic copolyesters and mixtures thereof, and the film having a total thickness of 1 to 200 ?m.

  • Patent number: 6315845
Abstract: A method of straightening rolled sectional steel includes clamping and subsequently cooling at least a sectional steel whose maximum local cross-sectional temperature is below Ar1 and whose minimum local cross-sectional temperature is above a lower limit temperature, wherein already the lower limit temperature produces as a result of clamping a thermal elongation in all fibers of the sectional steel which is greater than the elongation which would be required for a plastification of the fibers which would be subjected to the greatest internal compressive stresses if the sectional steel were exclusively air cooled without clamping.

  • Patent number: 6059903
Abstract: A method of cooling section steel, particularly sectional steel girders, from rolling heat, wherein, prior to a final air cooling, a water cooling process is carried out in such a way that section steel portions with material concentrations are cooled at outwardly projecting portions of the steel sections over a width of application and a duration of application which are variable and subject to a predetermined cooling strategy supported by a process computer to a value which is at least still slightly above the transformation temperature Ar1.

  • Patent number: 5992001
Abstract: A continuously cast strand is cut into elongated billets having ends and the billets are run through a rolling stand. after cutting the strand into billets and before rolling the billets one of the billets is engaged in the rolling stand and a trailing end of the one billet and a leading end of another billet are enclosed in a mold with the ends longitudinally spaced. This space between the ends is filled with molten metal in contact with the ends of the billets and the molten metal is hardened to interconnect the billet ends. Then the mold is removed from around the billet ends. The molten metal is of substantially the same composition as the billets. Furthermore the one billet is advanced in a travel direction by means of the stand and the mold and the other billet are advanced synchronously with the one billet after enclosing the billet ends in the mold. The mold is removed from the billet ends before the hardened metal between the billet ends enters the rolling stand.

  • Patent number: 5902422
Abstract: A method of coiling or placing bar steel or wire in coils, wherein the rolling stock is reeled from rolling heat in a basket or is placed by a coiler in the form of coils onto a conveyor and is collected at the end of the conveyor over a mandrel into a coil, wherein the rolling stock is cooled during coiling and the rolling stock is further cooled after the coiling process or the formation of coils. Cooling of the rolling stock from rolling heat prior to coiling into the transformation range characterized by the Ar.sub.3 line or Ar.sub.1 line of the transformation time-temperature diagram corresponding to the type of steel to be cooled is extended, such that, depending on the type of steel, the rolling stock is transformed immediately after cooling prior to, during or after coiling, uniformly over the entire length and entire cross-section thereof essentially isothermally from the austenite phase into the ferrite phase or pearlite phase and, as required, into the bainite phase.
