  • Patent number: 12228391
Abstract: A rotary pressure filter, comprising a filter drum and a housing. A sensor is attached to the housing and emits light through a light-permeable section of the housing in the direction of a filter cake. The sensor receives light reflected from the filter cake through the light-permeable section of the housing. A processing unit compares properties of the emitted light with those of the received light and determines an absolute thickness of the filter cake and/or a change in the thickness of the filter cake over a pre-determined time. The invention further relates to a corresponding method.

  • Patent number: 11701604
Abstract: The present invention relates to a rotary pressure filter comprising a filter drum, a housing, and at least one separating element which divides a process chamber in a gas-tight manner into a plurality of process portions. A sensor is arranged on the side of at least one separating element that faces the housing. The sensor comprises a coil and a rod which is arranged inside the coil. The rod is designed to be displaced in the coil on the basis of a change in the distance of the separating element from the sensor. The invention further relates to a method for detecting wear of a separating element of a rotary pressure filter.

  • Publication number: 20220047974
Abstract: The present invention relates to a rotary pressure filter, comprising a filter housing, and a filter drum, wherein a plurality of treatment zones comprises at least a suspension insertion zone and a discharge zone, wherein the rotary pressure filter is configured such that a pressure being present in the suspension insertion zone is higher than a pressure being present in the discharge zone, and that, each time a filter cell, coming from the discharge zone and containing gas having the discharge zone's pressure, enters the suspension insertion zone, the pressure of the suspension insertion zone drops, characterized in that the rotary pressure filter further comprises equipment that is configured to reduce and/or to slow the pressure drop of the pressure in the suspension insertion zone each time a filter cell coming from the discharge zone enters the suspension insertion zone.
