  • Patent number: 4788133
Abstract: A recording material having improved sharpness and color reproduction contains as uppermost layer a green-sensitive silver chloride emulsion having a layered grain structure, the ratio of diameter to thickness of the silver halide grains being at most 5.

  • Patent number: 4571378
Abstract: Improved photographic recording materials containing at least one silver halide emulsion layer with comparatively high sensitivity and at least one silver halide emulsion layer with comparatively low sensitivity. Color couplers and DIR compounds of differing reactivities are associated with these layers.
    Type: Grant

    Assignee: Agfa-Gevaert Aktiengesellschaft
Inventors: Wolfgang Sauerteig, Erwin Ranz, Heinz Schutz
  • Patent number: 4427763
Abstract: A color photographic recording material, in which a precursor compound for a yellow mask coupler is contained in a green-sensitive layer or in a layer adjacent thereto and in which a blue-sensitive layer is arranged between this layer and the layer support, permits very good sharpness with satisfactory speed.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: August 30, 1982
Date of Patent: January 24, 1984
    Assignee: Agfa-Gevaert Aktiengesellschaft
Inventors: Joachim W. Lohmann, Gunter Renner, Wolfgang Sauerteig
  • Patent number: 4287299
Abstract: For the production of matted outer layers of photographic silver halide recording materials particles of a copolymer of maleic acid anhydride and a C.sub.2 -C.sub.8 monoolefin are dispersed in an aqueous solution of a hydrophilic colloid and the dispersion thus formed is applied to one or both surfaces of the photographic recording material and the layer is dried.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: May 13, 1980
Date of Patent: September 1, 1981

  • Patent number: 4119464
Abstract: In a process for hardening gelatine containing photographic layers, in particular multilayered photographic films, using conventional hardeners and quick acting hardeners, the surface of a layer which contains gelatine and complex forming organic or inorganic salts is exposed to the action of an aqueous solution containing a wetting agent and a quick acting hardener, the quantity of water applied with the solution being calculated so that the layer or multilayered film undergoes swelling to a certain extend, and the degree of swelling is maintained for a period from 10 to 200 seconds, whereupon the layer or multilayered film is dried at a temperature below 30.degree. C.
    Type: Grant
