  • Patent number: 5755822
Abstract: A condition-indicating electrical connector includes a non- conductive synthetic plastic connector body carrying a strip conductor that connects a terminal on the body with an electrically-responsive optical display device arranged at a visible location on the connector body, thereby to indicate the electrical status of the terminal, and thus, consequently, the printed circuit conductor electrically connected therewith. The optical device is thus integral with the connector body, and requires no additional electrical components, and requires no space on the printed circuit board.

  • Patent number: 4940428
Abstract: An electrical connector (2) is adapted at its forward end for insertion from the rear forwardly within a through opening (10) contained in a base member (1). A snap fastener retaining arrangement including a pair of resiliently outwardly biased hook members (6) on opposite sides of the connector is adapted to automatically engage corresponding shoulders on the base member when the connector has been inserted to a given position within the base member opening. The connector is thus releasably retained in position, whereupon the connector may be rigidly fastened to the base member by second fastener devices (4) operable from the front of the base member. Upon disconnection of the second fastener devices, the hook members may be manually compressed inwardly toward the connector to release the snap fastener retaining arrangement, whereupon the connector may be withdrawn from the base member opening.

  • Patent number: 4927383
Abstract: A heavy-duty electrical plug connector is characterized by a label plate slidably connected with the connector housing for movement between retracted and extended positions. A label containing information designating the poles of the plug connector is provided on the plate. For wiring the connector, the plate is pulled to its extended or reading position wherein the labelled designations of the poles of the connector are visible. After wiring, the plate is slid beneath the housing to its retracted position where it takes up little space and where it does not interfere with wiring work on other connectors.
