Patent number: 6076795Abstract: In known retaining devices for electric motors, rotationally flexible retaining elements on the order of leaf springs are provided between a receiving housing and the electric motor and serve to decouple noise of the electric motor. The novel retaining device for an electric motor includes retaining elements that extend axially between a receiving housing and the motor housing. These retaining elements enable low-frequency decoupling below the frequencies to be decoupled; on the occurrence of natural resonance when the electric motor is turned on and off or there are shocks from outside, the torsional motion of the retaining elements is limited by stop elements. The retaining device is especially well suited to electric motors of blowers.Type: GrantFiled: February 5, 1999Date of Patent: June 20, 2000Assignee: Robert Bosch GmbHInventors: Wolfgang Scheidel, Peter Froehlich, Christof Bernauer, Thomas Bertolini, Christoph Eitel, Josef Foerstera, Peter Nolting, Reuben Agnon, Otto Brass, Alfred Maier

Patent number: 5193981Abstract: A fan wheel has a cup shaped hub having an outer cup wall with a plurality of vanes and a cup bottom connectable with a shaft of a drive and provided at its inner side with a plurality of ribs defining a plurality of fields therebetween. The cup bottom in the region of the fields has a plurality of depressions extending from its inner side and having a width approximately 70% of a thickness of the cup bottom.Type: GrantFiled: December 12, 1991Date of Patent: March 16, 1993Assignee: Robert Bosch GmbHInventors: Wolfgang Scheidel, Reuben Agnon

Patent number: 5129687Abstract: A swivelable conduit is suggested which serves to deflect the air to be guided to the passenger space of a motor vehicle. The conduit comprises two pivot mountings which are flush with one another and are arranged at a distance from one another at a stationary structural element, preferably at the wall of an air duct; the pivot mountings comprise a bearing bush connected with one of the two elements and a bearing pin connected with the other element and in which the two bearing elements are provided with shoulder surfaces and counter-shoulder surfaces, respectively, which face one another and which define a relative movement of the two bearing elements which is directed in the direction of the swivel axis, and the bore hole wall surface of every bearing bush guides the two structural elements radially relative to the swivel axis in cooperation with an outer surface area of the bearing pin assigned to it.Type: GrantFiled: November 16, 1990Date of Patent: July 14, 1992Assignee: Robert Bosch GmbHInventors: Wolfgang Scheidel, Jurgen Stenger, Albert Van Wijhe

Patent number: 5036803Abstract: A device for engine cooling includes at least one mechanical coolant pump driven by the engine to be cooled and at least one electric coolant pump controlled by an electronic switching device being provided in at least one cooling circuit of an engine to be cooled. The conveying capacity of the electric pump is set as a function of operating variables of the engine to be cooled and of further variables, while the mechanical pump is designed for a basic conveying capacity. In the coolant circuit a heat exchanger which is operated as a radiator, the cooling capacity of which can be altered with the aid of a radiator blind and of a fan, is arranged in a first coolant path. An additional heat exchanger, the waste heat of which is used for heating purposes or for further engine cooling, is arranged in an additional coolant path or in a separate coolant circuit.Type: GrantFiled: March 26, 1990Date of Patent: August 6, 1991Assignee: Robert Bosch GmbHInventors: Peter Nolting, Wolfgang Scheidel

Patent number: 3955905Abstract: A pump housing accommodates in it an output shaft of an electromotor which forms a unit with the pump, and a rotor having substantially slots is mounted on the output shaft for rotation. The slots accommodate sliding vanes. A mounting member mounts the rotor on the output shaft in such a manner that the motor can tilt to a limited extent about two axes which are normal to each other and to the longitudinal axis of the output shaft of the electromotor.Type: GrantFiled: July 2, 1974Date of Patent: May 11, 1976Assignee: Robert Bosch G.m.b.H.Inventors: Wilfried Frommholz, Wolfgang Scheidel, Heinz Rubig
