  • Publication number: 20010029716
Abstract: A plate-like structural element substantially comprises a wooden material plate with a high water resistance and having a plastic coating on at least part of its top and/or bottom side. This element is constructed in the manner of a wall or floor tile. For fixing or joining several elements on the edge surfaces are provided grooves and tongues. Preferably the width of the tongues exceeds the depth of the grooves, so that a specific, uniform joint width is ensured between the elements.

  • Patent number: 6286657
Abstract: Apparatus for transporting cartons of cigarette packets or analogous block-shaped commodities employs an indexible turret which advances a series of successive equidistant commodities along an arcuate horizontal path into the inlet of a straight horizontal second path defined by an elongated reach of an endless belt conveyor. The conveyor carries spaced-apart receptacles each defined in part by an outwardly extending retaining element affixed to the belt conveyor, and in part by a two-armed lever which is pivotably mounted on the conveyor and is biased by one or more springs to an idle position in which the respective receptacle can receive a commodity from the turret during travel past the inlet of the second path. A commodity which is in the process of entering a receptacle at the inlet bears upon one arm of the lever against the spring bias to thus move the other arm to a position in which the other arm cooperates with the retaining element to advance the commodity along the second path.

  • Patent number: 6085494
Abstract: Cardboard blanks with fold lines between their panels are partially draped around arrays of cigarette packets in an apparatus wherein successive arrays which are being advanced along an elongated path at a first speed strip discrete blanks off a mouthpiece which is advanced along such path at a lesser second speed. Additional panels of a blank which is being transported by the mouthpiece, and a first panel of which is to be engaged and entrained by the front side of an oncoming array, are pivoted relative to the first panel along the respective fold lines by pivotable prefolding members which share the movement of and are caused to pivot relative to the mothpiece while the latter transports a blank at the second speed. The prefolding members cooperate with further folding members to pivot further panels of a blank relative to the additional panels while the blank is being transported by the mouthpiece.

  • Patent number: 5769599
Abstract: First and second conveyors transport discrete rows of cigarette packets to one or more elevators which lift successive packets of the two rows into an assembling plane wherein the packets are caused to form a succession of arrays each containing a first group of packets from one of the conveyors and a second group of packets from the other conveyor. The first groups of successive arrays are lifted to a first additional plane above, and the second groups of successive arrays are lowered into a second additional plane below the assembling plane. The thus lifted and lowered first and second groups of successive arrays are shifted in their respective additional planes onto a third conveyor between the first and second conveyors so that the first groups overlap but are spaced apart from the respective second groups, and the third conveyor transports the first and second groups of successive arrays in such a way that the first groups descend onto the respective second groups.
