  • Patent number: 8344683
Abstract: A device and a method for determining the current position of a rotor, particularly the angle of rotation of the rotor, of an electric motor, wherein said device determines the current position of the rotor using the fluctuations of the armature current or the armature voltage of the electric motor. The fluctuations of the armature current or the armature voltage are separated from the fluctuations of the motor current or the motor voltage with the help of an amplifier unit dependent on a controllable offset value. The offset value is changed according to the motor current or the motor voltage. By virtue of the device and the method, the fluctuations of the armature current or the armature voltage can be separated from the fluctuations of the motor current or the motor voltage over the full measurement range of the motor current or the motor voltage.

  • Publication number: 20070182352
Abstract: A method for electrical control and/or regulation of the movement of an electrically-driven unit, in particular, a window winder for a sunroof of a motor vehicle, is disclosed. A correlation parameter for the operating force of the unit is measured for trapping protection and a switching off or reversing of an operating movement is carried out as trapping protection, when the correlation parameter for the operating force exceeds a threshold value which corresponds to a given trapping force. A filter for temporal filtering of the correlation parameter for the operating force of the unit is provided, whereby the filter is deactivated in the presence of given operating conditions. According to the invention, the decision on the activation and deactivation of the filter is achieved, depending on an alternating signal fraction of the measured correlation parameter, or another parameter proportional thereto.

  • Patent number: 7245252
Abstract: In a method for determining the distance between two transmitting and receiving stations, a transmission signal is generated in each station and is transmitted as a series of microwave pulses having a predefined pulse repetition frequency to the other respective station. The coincidence of pulses of the transmission signal sent by the respective station and the signal received by the station is detected in each station as a coincidence event, and the number of pulses transmitted and received by the respective station at the time of the coincidence event is determined. The distance between the stations is then calculated on the basis of the number of the determined pulses.

  • Publication number: 20060049975
Abstract: 1. Method for determining the distance between two transmitting and receiving stations. 2.1. In automotive engineering transmitting and receiving stations are usually used in keyless locking systems as electronic key modules or evaluation units for identifying the key module. Deactivation of the locking system is prevented, if the key module is not in the immediate vicinity of the evaluation unit. The novel method shall determine the distance between two transmitting and receiving stations with high resolution. 2.3. Abstract: In automotive engineering transmitting and receiving stations are usually used in keyless locking systems as electronic key modules or evaluation units for identifying the key module. Deactivation of the locking system is prevented if the key module allocated by means of a clear identification number from the evaluation unit is not in the immediate vicinity of the evaluation unit. The novel method shall determine the distance between two transmitting and receiving stations with high resolution. According to the novel method, a transmission signal (S1, S2) respectively is generated in the transmitting and receiving stations (1, 2) and transmitted as a series of microwave pulses having a predefined pulse repetition frequency (fp1, fp2) to the other respective transmitting and receiving station (2, 1) and received thereby in the form of a received signal.

  • Patent number: 6870339
Abstract: The invention relates to a simple, economical and reliable method for providing anti-jamming protection. According to said method, the excess force—the difference between the driving force and the friction force—is compared with a trigger threshold. To this end, the curve of the friction force of the current actuation process, which is dependent on the actuation path of the electrical drive unit, is compared to the curve of the friction force of at least one previous actuation process and the trigger threshold value is modified according to how the friction force curves correspond. The invention also relates to a method for providing anti-jamming protection for an electrical drive unit for window lifting drives.
