The servo drive is turned back in a controlled manner when a substitute mode of at least one useful function (VSR, LAFN) of the steering system is switched off or on.

Abstract: This invention relates to an electronic power switch in the form of a half bridge circuit for switchable outputs greater than 1 kW, having a series circuit of two power semiconductor groups between two direct current connections. At least one power semiconductor group comprises a parallel circuit of a plurality of the same kind of individual power semiconductors of smaller current load ability. All power semiconductors of both groups are fastened on a common printed circuit board and the power semiconductors are used in the switching operation. By means of a special structure of the printed circuit board, cooling bars and power semiconductors, a power switch with a clearly reduced leakage inductance is obtained, which can be designed in a space saving manner as a fully, as well as, semi-controlled half bridge circuit for very high currents.

Abstract: A method for reducing the generation of noise during arc welding by alternating current with welding machines with clocked current sources is disclosed. By modifying the curent set value on the control side with temporally non-linear functions by a digital-analog converter, a flow of the welding current which has limited upper tones can be generated.

Abstract: Radial projections are formed at opposed ends of a double walled hollow cylinder which form a vapor condensation chamber such that the radially outer wall is heated by means of vapors condensing thereon. Heating elements are mounted at the annular compartments and a steel wool packing is carried within each compartment and extends in a continuous annular manner throughout each compartment to distribute vaporizable liquid by the steel wool packing for effective vaporization as a result of energization of the heating elements.
