  • Patent number: 7391162
Abstract: The invention relates to a luminaire with at least one LED and a method for operating the luminaire. The luminaire has a sensor for detecting at least a part of the light emitted by the LED and also a control unit for evaluating the sensor signals and for influencing the LED in a manner dependent on the sensor signals. After the luminaire has been switched on, a specific LED current flows and the light intensity of the LED is checked. In the case of a light intensity below a reference value, the LED current is raised by a defined value.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: April 12, 2005
Date of Patent: June 24, 2008
    Assignee: Aqua Signal Aktiengesellschaft
    Inventors: Ralph Rohlfing, Wolfgang Serfass
  • Patent number: 7367686
Abstract: A position lamp for watercraft or for placing ashore, in particular a multicolored lamp, having light to be emitted in at least two different directions and at least one light source per direction, the light passing optically refractive elements, and in which a dedicated optically refractive element is provided per light source, the optically refractive elements being held on a common housing body, the housing body also accommodating the light sources.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: October 14, 2005
Date of Patent: May 6, 2008
    Assignee: Aqua Signal Aktiengesellschaft
    Inventors: Ralph Rohlfing, Wolfgang Serfass

  • Publication number: 20070001870
Abstract: The invention relates to a luminaire with at least one LED as luminous means and a method for operating the luminaire. • Patent number: 6695462
Abstract: A lighting installation, in particular a danger light, obstruction light or daytime and night-time marker, having at least one luminaire and at least one lighting device arranged in a housing of the luminaire, with the lighting device being in the form of a ring or part of a ring and defining a ring axis, the lighting device being assigned at least a first, wholly or partially encircling reflector surface, which defines an axis of rotation, and the ring axis and axis of rotation run essentially parallel to one another or even coaxially with one another.

  • Patent number: 6554441
Abstract: The invention relates to a lighting installation, in particular as a danger light, obstruction light or day and night marker, having at least one luminaire, with at least one lighting means (13) being arranged in a housing. According to the invention, the lighting means (13) is annular or semi-annular in design and defines a ring axis (19). Furthermore, the lighting means (13) is assigned at least one reflector surface (11) which encircles an axis of rotation (21) entirely or in part. Finally, ring axis and axis of rotation run essentially parallel or even coaxial to one another.
