  • Publication number: 20150030467
Abstract: A method for mechanically heating a liquid mixture of substances is described. In a liquid-ring pump (1), a foam phase is compressed and the compression heat is transferred to the mixture of substances. An apparatus designed as a liquid-ring pump (1) for mechanically heating a liquid mixture of substances is also described. Said liquid-ring pump (1) comprises an impeller (12) eccentrically arranged in a cup-shaped pump housing (11) as well as a tangential suction port (13) and a tangential delivery port (14). A gas port (15) for introducing an inert process gas extends into the suction port (13) and/or into the cup-shaped pump housing (1).

  • Publication number: 20150014219
Abstract: A method and an apparatus for separating evaporatable components from a heated fluid (2) are described. The heated fluid (2) is subdivided into two partial fluid streams (2t) of equal size, and the partial fluid streams (2t) are introduced in such a way at an angle of incidence (?) different from zero preferably relative to the horizontal reference plane that the partial fluid streams (2t) collide in such a way as to form a fluid bubble (2b).

  • Publication number: 20140374364
Abstract: The invention relates to a method and a device for the sedimentation of sediment particles in a method for extracting diesel oil from a liquid substance mixture moving in a circuit and comprising oil, hydrocarbon-containing residues and catalyst particles, by means of catalytic, pressureless depolymerisation (CPD). Sediment particles are removed from the substance mixture by guiding said mixture via a spiral-shaped guide arrangement. Hydrocarbon-containing residues are admitted into a lattice arrangement downstream of the spiral-shaped guide arrangement, wherein the substance mixture flows around or flows through said lattice arrangement.

  • Publication number: 20120274324
Abstract: A method of measuring magnetic resonance properties of an object, which includes a thermally polarized substance and a contrast agent exhibiting a nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) antiphase signal (A), comprises the steps of subjecting the object in a stationary magnetic field to an excitation sequence including excitation radio frequency pulses, collecting NMR signals generated in the object including a background signal (B) generated by the thermally polarized substance and the antiphase signal (A) generated by the contrast agent, and reconstructing the magnetic resonance properties of the object based on the NMR signals, wherein the NMR signals are collected during the occurrence of the antiphase signal (A) and with a time delay relative to a maximum of the background signal (B). Furthermore, a measuring device for measuring magnetic resonance properties of an object, like an NMR spectrometer or an MRI device, is described.

  • Publication number: 20080199401
Abstract: The invention relates to a process for dissolving a gas with short-lived physical properties in a liquid, comprising the steps of providing the gas with short-lived physical properties, providing the liquid and bringing the gas with short-lived with short-lived physical properties is fed into the liquid via a semi-permeable membrane that is permeable to gas.

  • Patent number: 6472104
Abstract: The invention relates to a process for preparing a solid organic-inorganic hybrid polymer electrolyte containing lithium ions. The product shows high strength conductivity and lithium transference values. Further, the product can be self-organized into nanometer scale plates and rods paving the way to making lithium conducting cables for example and hence batteries of nanometer size.
