  • Publication number: 20100044301
Abstract: A filter device for filtering fluid, in particular an oil filter, is provided. The filter device includes a first filter medium and a second filter medium, the first filter medium having a greater filter action than the second filter medium, and the filter media being folded in pleated form and having a plurality of folds, the first filter medium and the second filter medium being connected to one another in the longitudinal direction of the folds. An easily producible and highly effective filter device is thus achieved.

  • Publication number: 20100038296
Abstract: An oil sump, preferably made of plastic or metal, is provided for engines or transmissions, the oil sump comprising a filter housing including a filter housing top shell, a filter housing bottom shell, a filter medium, a filter inlet, and the filter outlet, and having an oil drain opening in a floor area of the oil sump, implemented in such a way that it is closable using an oil drain screw having external thread, which comes from the oil sump outer side. The oil sump also includes a carrier unit having a frame, on which the filter housing is fastened and which is used as a seal upon fastening of the oil sump on the associated unit, in particular on an engine block or a transmission unit.

  • Publication number: 20090301954
Abstract: An oil sump, preferably made of plastic or metal, for motors or transmissions and having a filter housing, comprises a filter housing top shell, a filter housing bottom shell, a filter medium, a filter inlet, and a filter outlet, and an oil drain opening in the floor area of the oil sump, which is implemented in such a way that it is closable using an oil drain screw having external thread, which comes from the oil sump bottom side. The filter housing comprises an internal thread which is implemented to receive the external thread of the oil drain screw, the filter housing being at least partially fastened on the oil sump via the oil drain screw, which closes the oil drain opening and engages using its external thread in the internal thread on the filter housing side.

  • Publication number: 20090230049
Abstract: The present invention provides a suction oil filter device for an engine or a transmission that has an oil inlet and an oil outlet on the filter housing, a suction oil pump connectable to the oil outlet, using which a partial vacuum may be generated between oil inlet and oil outlet, a fine filter medium and an ultrafine filter medium, which are situated between the oil inlet and the oil outlet. The fine filter medium is attached to the oil inlet or to the oil outlet, and the ultrafine filter medium is situated before the fine filter medium in the flow direction and in a secondary flow area of the filter housing. A high filtration performance may thus be achieved at low production outlay.

  • Publication number: 20090127185
Abstract: The invention relates to a filter element for filtering fluid for a motor or gearing, comprising a first filter medium which is arranged in a cylindrical way, with the fluid impinging in a perpendicular way on the circumferential surface of the first medium for filtering in an associated filter apparatus, then penetrating and passing through the same. The filter element comprises a second filter medium with a filter density differing from the first filter medium, the first filter medium and the second filter medium being stacked upon each other as filter layers and being jointly wound in a spiral manner. A desired purity of the fluid can thus be achieved more quickly than in filter elements which exclusively allow a radial passage of the fluid through the filter elements. The spiral configuration also achieves a higher dirt absorption capacity.

  • Publication number: 20070151906
Abstract: The present invention relates to a filter device for filtering a fluid, in particular an oil filter. It has at least one filtering medium and a bypass for the filtering medium. Furthermore, an actuator is provided, which influences the flow of the fluid through the bypass as a function of a predetermined parameter of the fluid. The actuator is preferably controlled as a function of the viscosity of the fluid, a differential pressure of the fluid at the filtering medium, and/or the temperature of the fluid.
